Dude is signing his own ticket out of town. Leave Clement in too long??? Way to start Millar against the righty. It must be because of his glove......

another 98 years

bad pitching looks bad no matter what part of year it is.

As far as today goes, I can allow Clement to stay in up to the 4th inning..

Next year, rest Clement after the All Star game for 1 month or so..

********

Millar...Millar, WTF.. Keep him on the Bench as a cheerleader!!

Dude cannot hit, but when he does he CANNOT RUN!!

He can't field... but he can cheerlead with the best of them!!

***
Francona will be back. He actually did alot of good this year (amid some obvious stupidity..)

Imagine if I told you at the beginning of the season that you would not have Schilling, you would not have Foulke, Renterria would have 30 errors and hit 8 Home Runs, Wade Miller would miss the entire season..
You would not be able to honestly say that you would think the Sox could win 95 games and be tied with the Yankees at the end of the season.

So, as easy as it is to see Francona's blunders.. you gotta recognize his achievements!!

and you and I know this series is not over!!

<Flashback to game 3 of last yrs ALCS>

Before the game, I get home from work and in the mailbox is a pkg. from my best friend in RI. I open it , & it's a tee shirt with a 'Sox logo on the front with some Warwick pizza joint ad.
On the back in big blue & red letters, "YANKEES SUCK"

I wore it to the gym.

Got dirty looks and huge props from many people on different sides of the fence.

After that 19-8 kick in the balls, I ripped the shirt off and threw it @ the tv .

I walked outside and kicked my hat into the pool.

The wife comes out and says:"...theyll bounce back."
(wif a straight face, no less.)

I tell her that nobody has ever come back 3-0 in a playoff series, and she says:"never been a team like this one! :D

Rest easy boys.

It isn't over.

Lay off Tito.

I know it ain't over boys. I gave up on em last year at 0-3 no doubt so I learned my lesson. Just have had enough of Tito. His love of Millar will be his downfall. Everytime people see him in the lineup around here they groan. His numbers in the past against pitchers this year doesn't matter. His bat has been dormant all year yet he keeps playing. If he had an average glove then I might be cool with him, but he sucks!!! He belongs on the pine cheering. Olerud should have got the nod today for his glove alone.......

True!

The departure (not Loss) of Pedro was/ is HUGE!!
The departure of Lowe was not so great... Wells fills Lowe's shoes!

What will the Yankees be doing tomorrow that the BloSux won't?

Playing Baseball.

Here's a question to haunt your winter. Down 0-2 in a must win game shouldn't have Schilling been pitching?

Career LDS series

Schilling 3-0 era about 2.5
Wake - 0-3 era 9.90

No, Schilling was not ready!!

The White Sox are a Better team this year than the Red Sox.

The White Sox are the Best team in the AL this year.

If you want to be haunted this winter.. think has your team won a World Series this millenium???

The answer for Yankee fan will be NO!
and the haunt will be...

We spent $300 million in 2004 (including luxury tax and revenue sharing)
and we still couldn't beat a team that spent less than 1/3 of what we spent...

Image
My team has spent > $670 million (not including luxury tax and revenue sharing..since 2000 and we still haven't won the World Series!!).

I am a Devil Ray fan that lives in New England. I root for the Red Sox when my team is out of it (usually ~ August).

and no, 2000 is last millenium (if you knew how to count that would make sense to you!)

You are DUMB !!

Schilling gave up his ankle for the Red Sox World Series. He was toast most of the year. He still hasn't recovered.

Do you know what Schilling's record was this year??

Did you watch the World Series and the ALCS last year??

Wakefield was the right choice...

Schilling BIG GAME pitcher. As in you NEED to win. Won last sunday. Full rest.

Wake 0-3 9.92 ERA in division series.
Schilling 3-0 1.14 ERA in division series.

I'm manager and I go to the guy who has gotten it done before.

Devil Rays fan, come back when you know what baseball is.

JCT,

From ESPN- "I certainly didn't expect to be on a team in the postseason and not get a start," said a somber Schilling late Friday night. "But what were the choices?"

Yes, you could have pitched Schilling who was 8-8 on t season with a 5.69 ERA. Schilling just beat the Yankees 10-1, the past Sunday. He was prbably spent and Tito (Francona) wanted to give him the extra rest.

Game 3 wasn't lost by the pitcher. The Sox were beaten by El Duque in the 6th when they had bases loaded, no outs and the score was 4-3..

and he continued to beat them.

Wakefiled was up in the rotation.

Wakefield was 16-12 with a 4.15 ERA.

..
You can argue for Schilling and it has validity but pitching Wakefield was not dumb!

***
Yankeefans, don't get your panties in a bunch when you are smacked with "You haven't won this millenium"- You haven't!!

We have been over this many times ...

Your team won 26 times and are 26 -11 in the World Series. Your team capped off the last millenium with your 26th. Be Proud. No other team comes close!!

You can tell your grandchildren...

"In my day, the Yankees were considered to be the greatest baseball team of the millenium!! Hell, I remember when they used to WIN the World Series!!"
