Re: Financial Crisis
I lost my job. I was a GM for Red Lion Hotels and was laid off when they decided to consolidate the management of several hotels in the region. I hadn't been with the company a really long time and this was my first GM gig. In retrospect, I wish I hadn't taken the job because I was working for a goo...

Re: Anyone follow iAA playoffs?
It will be a good game and I will be there. I have been doing some scouting of Texas State and it looks like they have some really good athletes. Plus, with all the HS talent that Texas produces - you know they are going to have players. Cameron Luke looks like a total stud and your QB is a monster....

Re: Rate your team's draft
Seahawks Marcus Trufant – CB Pro Bowler, one of the top corners in the league, still with the team. Ken Hamlin - S Pro Bowler, hard hitter, very solid safety with Cowboys. Hopefully has learned to stay out of the clubs after getting brained with a no parking sign and missing a season. Wayne Hunter –...

Re: i don't pick brackets anymore: but South Alabama
PSU handed Montana their second or third worst home loss of all time at the end of the season. Something like 106-58. It was absofuckinglutely brutal.
I am very impressed with them this year and will be pulling hard for the BSC champs to rep us well in the dance. Go Viks!

Re: Your Teams Recruiting
This is what Montana has so far in this class. Not bad for who and what we are: http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=9&c=8&cfg=null&toinid=781&yr=2008 Dinsdale - have you ever heard of the two Oregon guys, Lipski and Opperud? Any SoCal people heard of Cummings? We also have a Q...

I actually went to the KU/NU game this weekend. I flew out from Seattle to spend the weekend in Lawrence (that's where I went to high school). As a lifelong Husker fan, it really sucks to watch this debacle known as the Callahan era. That said, I have always rooted for KU except when it comes to pla...

I honestly don't know what it going to happen in this game. The consensus seems to be a competitive first half with SC and a small lead going into the lockerroom. Second half sees SC's superior team speed and depth wear out the Huskers and they pull away, ultimately winning with by a 2-3 TD margin ...

squeal of the pig will float in the air? I don't think there is a consensus on the meaning of that line. I always took it to mean that the Grizzly devoured the opponent while he was carrying the ball (pigskin) and the squeal had something to do with the ball and/or the opponent in the bear's stomach.

I believe that Dins. You guys secretly huddle together and come up with schemes like pulling cable cords and such. What a dedicated group. Exactly. The number #37 is our legacy number - when the senior wearing the #37 graduates, he passes it on to the underclassman of his choice. The only criterion is that the player must hail from the state of Montana. The best ever to wear it would probably have to be former UM and NFL safety Tim Hauck. Hauck...

Different text colors in Windows Explorer
When I am using Windows Explorer to look at the data files on C:, I just noticed that some of the file names have a different color. Whereas previously they all appeared in black letters kinda like this: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/stuntcock/excel.jpg Costco 85KB Microsoft Excel 5/25/06 No...

With that kind of fan-support has Montana ever seriously considered a move to 1A? Ya the population is lacking but if Wyoming can field a team and Idaho somehow fields one pretty good team and one proverbial door mat , then I'd think Montana could do some things in the WAC or MWC. I can kind of und...

Uniforms: Please leave them the fuck alone
They are changing our uniforms again this year. This will be our 4th design in the last 11 years. Here is the new uni for '07 and it sucks. It doesn't appear to have any silver so it's not even going to match the damn helmets: http://images.footballfanatics.com/productImages/_146000/altImages/FF_146...

FWIW Montana led the FCS in average attendance in 2006 with 22,600 per game which is about 98% capacity. Here is a picture of our stadium which seats 23,117: http://www.egriz.com/GrizPics2/albums/userpics/10001/normal_griz_stadium_from_above.jpg We are adding an expansion above the east side boxes (...

The marijuana question is overreaching and is not germaine to the facts of the case. Bongs are advertised and sold as tobacco pipes. Certainly people use them to smoke pot, but that is a seperate issue. People use lightbulbs to smoke meth, but that's not a lightbulb issue - that's a meth issue. As l...

I voted for Bill Doba at Washington State. Nine wins + good bowl game is very possible. This was a four win team last year that at one point lost seven consecutive games. After they got routed by Arkansas to start the season, it could've gotten rough. They have played well, have a good signature win...

Next year will be the telling year. I really felt going in that this was the telling year. I might be willing to forestall that opinion if we were getting Keller as an incoming freshman, but he will be a fifth year senior. If, as a fanbase, we are pointing to a one and done transfer as the piece of...

Solich, Pellini, Cotton, etc have got to be laughing right now. It does make me wonder what might have been had they been given a couple of more years. I don't think they could have done much worse. The only thing Cally accomplished to date is a couple of good recruiting classes and a win over Mich...
