Washington is not a good team and, probably will finish 5-7 this year. I don't think so. I'm not sure how you can say we aren't a good team when two of our four losses were an OT loss at Cal (who's been kicking everyone's ass except Tennessee) with our backup QB and a questionable loss at USC by a ...

Still not sure how you can blame Ty Willingham for an OT loss AT Cal with a backup quarterback. Seems to me the team played very well in a game I'm sure ALL of you thought would result in Husky ass kicking.SoCalTrjn wrote:too bad ubub had to choke vs feCal... Thank you, Jon. You're the first person to mention that other than me. This whole fiasco shouldn't have happened in the first place. We should have had a minimum of four seconds on the clock, probably five. I'm pissed that the Huskies were robbed of an opportunity to finish off USC. Once again, Pac ...

Here are the facts: 1) There should have been at least four seconds, probably five, on the clock after the first down. The SC clock operator allowed three extra seconds to run off the clock. UW coaches were screaming at them to put time back on there and I guess thats why the officials had the half-...

How do you account for his results so far at Washington then? Same lazy recruiter and many of the same incompetent coaches that ruined ND. Washington's players seem to be greatly improving under Willingham and his staff. His players stay out of trouble, they graduate, and the team is winning again. ...

Dude, you gotta let go of the Ty Willingham thing. Anyone who won't admit that he's done a great job at UW is blinded by their hatred of him. This team is vastly improved in every way possible. I'd argue that he has done a better job with this Huskies team than Charlie has done with this ND team. Yo...

I have no idea what to expect this Saturday. USC hasn't impressed me very much this year and they don't seem to be playing with the same confidence as they have in the past. That being said, they are very talented and they're due to break out in a huge way and that worries me. If the game was in Sea...

Graduation rates story in USA Today
[web]http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/2006-09-28-graduation-rates_x.htm[/web] Interesting story on grad rates in USA Today. Interestingly, Cal is 20th out of the top 25 in football grad rates and one of only 12 schools below 50% in both football and basketball. Congrats to the Washington Huski...

Great win for the Huskies today!!! The 2004 and 2005 Huskies would have been pasted in this game being down 16-0. This year's team is different. Isaiah Stanback played well (3 TD and a 2pt conversion) and was a big factor in the win but the Huskies defense won this football game. Stanback has become...

I know its not aimed at us and I think the chances of OU pulling out of this game are nil. However, if it DID happen Washington would be the loser in the whole thing and OU would probably face a backlash for dealing with it in that manner. I realize that OU has nothing against Washington and I agree...

I agree that it would be a total bitch move to cancel the UW visit. Washington doesn't have a dog in this fight and stands to lose a very attractive and profitable home game against a premier team. That and the fact that we upheld our part of the contract by playing in Norman. I think OU has said an...

Seer, How do you see the game turning out? I didn't think the Huskies could hang with the Bruins last year but they gave them a great game. Thats the kind of game I think we'll start winning this year. This is a huge game for the Huskies. With Arizona on the horizon, a win over UCLA would give the H...

Thanks, BtH. Man, you guys got jammed on Saturday. Sucks to lose like that but EVEN I have to give the Ducks credit for hanging tough and finding a way to win that game. Good luck the rest of the way and yes, it does feel good to be 2-1. I never thought I'd say that as a Husky fan but thats how bad ...

This is a big game for the Huskies. UCLA appears to be pretty solid and UW has obviously improved. A win in our first conference game of the season would be huge. I really think the Huskies can win 5-7 games this year which would be a big improvement over our 3 wins in the last 2 years. I know most ...

Not a bad showing for the Huskies. They continue to perform better against quality teams. I'm not much for moral victories but this is a far cry from the beatings we took two years ago. I think you'll see the Huskies getting over the hump on some quality teams this year. We are headed in the right d...

Washington and WillingTard are going to get SHITHAMMERED by OU. Yeah, I'm sure thats what you thought about UAB, too. Right??? Thats why they play the games. Upsets happen every week. Like I said, I don't see us winning this game. I'd simply like to see that the Huskies have improved enough to compete with teams like OU. There has been improvement under Willingham. The Huskies averaged 21.5 pts a game last year vs. 14 the year before. Rushing yards allowed dropped from 183 per ga...

I certainly don't expect a win in this game (I'm a realistic Husky fan) but I expect us to be competitive. This will let us know where the Huskies really stand. The win over San Jose State was expected but there were definitely things to celebrate in the win. 300 team rushing yards, 468 yards of off...

at Oklahoma: this game against a very good team in an outstanding college football environment will help prepare our younger players for the tough road games they'll have in the Pac 10 at USC: it will be nice to see if we've closed the gap on them even a little bit at Oregon: enough said at Wazzou: ...

A perfect example of why I hate the recruiting business. Does FSU or any other school in this position have any legal recourse when it comes to Lemming? I'm betting there is nothing they can do about it but they could call him out publicly and try to hurt him professionally. His credibility is going...

Sorry Dinsdale, wrong again. I'm talking to an audience of people on this board who hear on TV of Qwest Field, not Seahawk Stadium. Most people in the area simply call it Qwest, lots of people call it Seahawk Stadium, and some call it Qwest Field. Most people who refuse to call it Qwest are those wh...

Thanks for the welcome, I think. Sorry to disappoint but no troll here. I spend time on the Husky Scout and Rivals boards but they just really aren't my thing. I don't pay much attention to recruiting to be honest. I pay attention to them once they officially become Huskies. The highlight of Washington's class is Jack Locker, a QB out of Ferndale, WA. He is one of four four-star recruits that have committed to the Huskies. I know Scout has UW ranked 31st a...
