Well it actually happened today, and I'm stunned. Those exact same words. An attorney that I have known for many years said "ok, I have to be intellectually honest, and with what is out now, trump has to go. It's over."

The thing is that this guy is a 100% lifelong conservative Republican, and absolutely despises the Clintons. He is unashamedly partisan and has been that way for years. This is someone who has served as an officer of the state Republican party, someone who has been appointed to positions by Republican Presidents and Governors, someone whose political loyalty is absolutely unquestioned.

And yet today, he said "it's over." We didn't have time for a long conversation so I don't know what exactly what made him change his mind. My guess is the congressional hearings going on, but I haven't been following them so I really don't know.

This just blows my mind, this is a guy who I would expect to still defend trump (and any Republican) even after the SCOTUS would affirm a criminal conviction. This guy idolizes people like Pat Buchanan, Oliver North, and Roger Stone. And now, he says it's over.
