The scene was introducing us to a true goddess. In a party full of drugs and hot babes, the director clearly wanted to make a crystal clear point. This absolutely stunning woman was going to be with Leo come hell or high water.

She's light years better than any whore at that party, as illustrated by jonah's big fat 13 inches on full display.
Scorsese is a master, few if any director alive today could pull off a scene like that and not take serious flak from the "me too" or any other left wing snowflake activist group.
