Wisconsin...
WISCONSIN — Since March 15, more than 100,000 people in Wisconsin have applied for unemployment.
On Monday, over 21,000 people applied for unemployment alone. The numbers from last week and this week exceeds 100,000.
All this, coming from the Department of Workforce Development. Monday's 21,000 is the highest daily rate we have seen throughout this whole pandemic, and the numbers are expected to rise even more.
On Tuesday, Governor Tony Evers officially announced...
https://www.tmj4.com/news/coronavirus/o ... e-march-15
Even IF things get up and running again in a reasonably normal way, a good percentage of these unemployed people will NEVER be brought back in to where they have been laid off.
Ain't happening.

Hey softball.
I'm positive your IQ is high enough to understand that CNN msnbc, abc, cbs, the NY times, Washington post etc......are all propaganda arms of the Democrat socialist party.
Every single day they accuse trump of endangering lives.
YET, the mayor of NYC, the most infected part of the country now, has allowed nearly 200 flights with possibly infected people, straight into the great state of Florida.
How the fuck is THAT not endangering lives?
How is the media legitimate if they don't question the mayor about this?
Allowing hundreds of possibly infected people to effectively ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK.
What say you doctor?

It appears that Bernie got his unemployment provision into the Senate Bill: 100% of salary for laid-off workers up to 75K/year, and benefits to include tipped and gig workers who are not usually covered.

Right gig workers are independent contractors. They haven’t been paying into unemployment. If States didn’t want to cover them with their unemployment process, why should the US taxpayers foot the bill for the lack of coverage by their state?Screw_Michigan wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 2:12 pm rack bernie sanders

Agree these workers need some coverage, but shouldn’t the states take on this burden?

Indeed.
Rack the Bern.
An FDR Democrat... not one of these Republicans that pose as Democrats.
* Bern = real Democrat.
* Modern day Democrats = Republicans.
* Republicans = The Nazi Party.
Re: Doom
Once again, WRONG on all counts!
FDR was a FOOL
He NEVER got us out of the depression.
He gets elected in 1932. Takes office in 1933, and right up till world war II, the depression was with us.
WW II is the massive worldwide event that sweeps us out of the depression and into the post war
BOOM TIMES!
FDR, was too short sighted to understand that social security as he envisioned it, was doomed to fail.
That life expectancy would increase hugely, and that there would be way more retirees to workers.
Bernie Sanders is a top down government control socialist.
Ultimately, he's not compatible with our Bill of rights and our liberty.
And finally, the nazi socialists were anti liberty. Just like your left wing socialists are.
The Republican party is for liberty. So once again, you are wrong on all counts.
I feel like Jeff Goldblum in jurassic park.
"Boy do I hate being right all the time".
You must hate being wrong all the time.

It is my understanding the there are three pots of money that tax funds are deposited into. State funds, extended benefits programs and loans. I was under the impression that the states controlled the first two pots of money. They set the rates and requirements to receive benefits. If this is the case then the states should be using their money to add to pots 1 and 2. If it is not the case then I retract all statements on this.

Here's the bottom line fellas.
We have the only president who can tackle the very complex and unprecedented challenges of handling the virus, juxtaposed with saving the economy.
And if I'm correct, which I usually am, he's up to the task.
In just a few short months, if I am indeed correct?

Yes, because we're all in this together, and can't you see that your friendly banksters are having such a hard time?
So you will pay the banksters/ganstgers to hold your money for you, won't you?
And please do so with a bright smile on your face.
And when they roll out that digital currency and your cash has gone -----> bye bye, you will pay those banksters to hold that money... which does not really exist.

Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin downplayed a record-breaking 3.28 million Americans applying for
unemployment benefits last week as a result of the coronavirus crisis.
“To be honest with you, I think these numbers right now aren’t relevant,” Mnuchin said in a CNBC interview
after about 2 percent of the US workforce filed for out-of-work benefits.
Mnuchin said the spike was a “short term” issue after a $2 trillion stimulus bill passed the Senate on Wednesday...

78,500 new unemployment claims filed in Oregon so far in March. If each one is paid $ 1,000 a month, and I heard it was $ 500 a week, then the state will be paying out somewhere between 76 and 157 million a month. Governor Korrupt Kate Brown had said they will have trouble funding state service in the next 6 months to a year. Fucking Democrats fucked this one up real good.
