But let's hear the liberals cry about Georgia and the other red states opening.
Fucking idiots.
However, the vast majority are not "liberal". They are "LEFT".
IT'S an important distinction going forward.
Read Dr. Dennis Prager on this crucial difference between a true "liberal" and the "LEFT".
It'll really open your eyes.
A true "liberal" is very much like a Reagan conservative, a libertarian and a modern day republican, in that we hold LIBERTY and the bill of rights as SACROSANCT.
ALL you need do is listen to left wing nutjobs speak. Out of their own mouths, they despise our founding fathers, our constitutional republic, and the principles of liberty that stand strong against their top down government control tyranny.
Being of a curious nature, I dig deeper than most. And when you do that, you always get to the truth.
The left doesn't want people to be intellectually curious.
They want brainwashed sheep to fall in line and be subservient to their power structure.
This is an amazing and exciting time, and a watershed moment in our history. Will the founding principles survive?
We are up against left wing government control socialists, their powerful and corrupt propaganda press, media and academia.
Lady liberty

Hardly. I will be fine if I take a year off. The people you don’t care about are the folks with 2 kids living paycheck to paycheck and now have been told their job at the barber shop isn’t essential. How nazi of you. Their job is essential to them and their kids.
But then you don’t care about them, you just want unemployment to keep going up so your creepy senile old white guy assumes the White House.

I suspect that I had coronavirus in mid-January.LS wrote:I tested positive
I had "the flu" and went to the hospital -- sick as hell.
The doctor checked me out but seemed overly concerned and overly thorough in checking me out, considering it seemed very obvious that I had the flu.
I was thinking to myself, "Just get on with it. It is obviously the flu. Just give me the IV and the medicine. What are you doing?"
Understand, this was a couple/few weeks before the explosion of c-virus.
Doctor gave me a test for the flu and it came out negative.
No flu.
So what did I have?
At any rate, they gave me basic flu treatment, an IV and some medicine to take, and I got better in a few days.

I think your story and mine, I had no noticeable symptoms outside of what I thought was normal seasonal allergy crap, is far more the norm.
More testing will just show us that more people have/had it and didn’t know it.
Glad you recovered quickly.

Because if you know anything about math, the more millions that have it OR have had it, shows you just how tiny the death rate is.

LS is saying more testing will show just how prevalent it actually is. I'm saying if it poses such a risk to people, especially from asymptomatic shedders, why hide true numbers? How would we know the true death numbers if we are in 'don't want to know' mode?
What changes would need to be made in society which are unacceptable if true numbers and true risks are known?

The OL was tested about a month ago, came back negative. With all the talk about false negatives, she got a test for the anti-bodies a few days ago. Should get result tomorrow.
I also had allergy type symptoms which have more or less cleared up, so it wouldn't surprise me a bit if I had a touch of the 'rona.

Not at all. More testing is going to show more people infected. That is going to lead to the death rate falling. More testing positive against the same death total means this isn’t as deadly as we have been told. Yes it is a serious disease for those over 80 and those with compromised immunity, but not so much for the rest of us.Innocent Bystander wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 4:13 pmDoesn't that bother you?Left Seater wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 1:27 pm More testing will just show us that more people have/had it and didn’t know it.

My son works at Intel Hillsboro, OR and had an RSV in early February. There were about 5 of his direct reports that had the same thing same time frame. But they just kept plugging away with 11,000 people a day there.

In our state the average age at death for a covid death is 80 years old. Over 65% were in care facilities. 100% of them had underlying health conditions that were listed as secondary and third causes of death that would have been first and second absent covid.Diego in Seattle wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 3:51 am

Now these patients could have lived longer if they had no underlying conditions, but they did and most likely those now secondary and third causes were going to take them out, how soon nobody knows.
If your precious government was so fucking concerned, they would have taken much faster steps in care facilities in helping them contain and prevent these infections. But if you have not noticed, the focus in care facilities the care is not prepared for that.

Trump claimed he and Pence are both being tested daily for Covid19. Who gets tested, but is allowed not to self quarantine? * Especially if one is publically admitting that circumstances make it necessary to be tested daily?
That claim was 'Epstein committed suicide' merged with 'do as I say, not as I do' territory.
* the answer is a certain company providing care to the elderly and infirm, which has barred employees from quarantining in spite of working with patients who test positive, because the company explained that if they follow cdc guidelines, there will be no employee available to do the work. which also means no fmla for them. it's very frustrating. those health care providers aren't being tested every day, though. reminds me of faith in temperature tests every six hours above, for something which is known to affect people asymptomatically, and for which the Chinese have proven via social media can be masked with the right pill combo, someone at the executive level is weighing the bottom line versus adherence ...and the bottom line wins. i bring it up because if that company is barring quarantines for essential workers, it's being done elsewhere...including the White House. Except if either Trump or Pence tested positive for antibodies during their alleged daily testing, I just don't have confidence we'd ever be told. Bottom line versus adherence.
