If the Dim candidate was young (50s), energetic, and could articulate a positive vision for the future, he would roll to an easy win in November.

From a Dim point of view I see two big potential problems with Biden.

1. He speaks badly. The potential is there for Donald to clown the hell out of him in the debates. Either that, or he might just piss down his own leg without Donald even having to do anything. I would be nervous about that if I was a DIm.

2. Biden's approach is not wise, imo. He is halfway trying to flame Donald, and that is a losing proposition. You can't beat the flame king (Dump) by going halfway with your own flame effort. You've either got to go full scale flame war with Donald, and be EXCELLENT at it, or you've got to not do it at all. I would advise Joe not to flame at all. Just talk policy and be the adult. Let Donald's insults go with no response. That said, I think that approach would work better with the young, energetic, positive vision candidate I described above.
