Aaron Rodgers Wants to Be the Permanent Host of ‘Jeopardy!’
The NFL MVP is the show’s guest host for the next two weeks—and if he has his way, he’ll be
back for good
Oh, and one more thing: Don’t count the reigning NFL MVP out of the race to be the permanent host:
“I’m not shy at all about saying I want the job,” he says.

This was pretty funny!

Re: Cal
He’s been pretty good and has made a couple comments Alex certainly wouldn’t have, mentioning Turd Ferguson and the likelihood that Willie Nelson’s tour bus was “smoky.” I think he could grow into being a very good host of the show and that even if he doesn’t get the gig, his future after football will be in TV.

Hit N and S Carolina in Feb and March including a month in Myrtle.
Had a good time. Hit Charleston and Fort Moultrie on the way to Myrtle and Kill Devil to the Great Smokey’s on the way out. Learned a lot, met a bunch of nice people (even managed to get laid more than once), saw some cool stuff and (of course) ate some bomb food.
Probably doing same again next year if Cali schools are still ‘rona restriction nightmares.

Both of those states are heavily red, yet you chose to spend your vacation dollars there.Kierland wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 12:49 pm Hit N and S Carolina in Feb and March including a month in Myrtle.

Oh and fuck off T raitor.
Re: Cal
Glad to hear you're enjoying life in the Palmetto state. Say hi to Stephen Colbert if you see him.
Meanwhile, the mass exodus from California continues. If this goes on for another 20 or 30 years we might pare the people load down to a manageable level.
Re: Cal
We are deciding if we are going to buy again in Cali or pick a new state. Kid likes big guns and wants a capybara, both of which are frowned on there. Problem is finding a new place that doesn’t have shitty weather and/or shitty people. He does not like T raitors and neither do I so that cuts it down a bunch. He is pushing Oklahoma and enticing me with its free wheeling attitude on weed, so Tokelahoma is a possibility but they all have major drawbacks.

We moved to Oregon in 2014. The only thing I miss is an abundance of good stores and restaurants (we don’t live in Portland - thank goodness). I can go one direction and be in the middle of town in five minutes, or I can go another and be driving though a forest into farmland in two minutes. I LOVE it!

Oregon is great. I've only driven through on the way to Victoria, but the wife and I plan on riding the train up there sometime in the next year or so.ppanther wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 1:18 pmWe moved to Oregon in 2014. We don't have forests here like Oregon, but I'm also about 5 minutes from town. And 5 minutes in the other direction puts me on CA76 on the way to Palomar Mountain, Lake Henshaw and Julian. Oaks and sycamores, mostly, in the San Luis Rey River valley until you go up the mountain and it turns more to conifers.

Re: Cal
Our last family vacation prior to moving was to Oregon and Washington. We really enjoyed it. We spent three weeks driving around. We thought of moving up there, but wanted to try something completely different. My wife is into horses, and she found an equestrian community in SC. Life is good.
