Lost my man card last weekend.
Last weekend was the gayest fukking weekend of my life. It started with Saturday.
New GF talks me into doing a massage and facial at a place she treats herself to monthly.
First time I ever had a massage. Well, first professional one. And it was fukking awesome!!!
But it was done by a dude. And that’s fukking gay!!!
The facial was pleasant as well and was performed by a cute young lady.
But, it’s a fukking facial. And that’s gay.
Sunday, not much better.
Had to go to Mohegan to watch a WNBA game.
What an estrogen laden girl-power load of horseshit!!!
And her friend’s daughter sang the National anthem. She was surprisingly good. But at halftime we (about 60 people had to march out onto the court I. Our pink fukking fight breast cancer T shirts and form a big gay ass pink ribbon as they announced some crap about buttfukking breast cancer in the mouf.
Jeeeeezus H Fukking Christ, was that one gay ass weekend.
I been trying to do manly stuff since. The other day she made dinner for family visiting from out of town and I said sorry hon, but no Margaritaville for me tonight. So I sipped some 12 year old glenlivet with her bro and her daughter’s boyfriend.
I think good scotch sipping out to do something to getting back in good standing with the man card issuers.
Sadly my Jetta is in the shop, so I can’t drive a manual trans car this week, which is good for a few points.
Any recommendations on manly stuff welcome.
And the inevitable pile on I deserve is welcome too, just try to at least make it funny.

I do have a few Sheetrock spakling jobs I need to get done. Finish some tile work in upstairs bath.
That oughta be good for something.
Sharpen the blades on the riding mower, few other projects around the house.

Man cards are like scoreboard.
If you have to prove you have it then you never did.

Professional massage for the first time at your age? That is way too late in life. And it doesn’t matter what gender is performing the massage. As long as they’re good at their job and you feel stress free and relaxed, that’s all that matters.
Your weekend wasn’t necessarily gay but definitely filled with estrogen activities. Just counter it with a weekend in the future that involves a bourbon tasting tour, axe throwing, and a football game. If your GF says no, then go alone.

Re: Lost my man card last weekend.
Bourbon tasting while axe throwing would be awesome. What could go wrong.
And I must disagree.
Same sex massage is a little bit gay.
But it was FABULOUS!!!!!
Wearing a pink T shirt to a WNBA game?
Weapons grade gay. There’s no denying it.

Nice post, smackaholic!
When I read your post I thought about a Bill Burr rant about how awful it can be when you allow a woman to schedule activities.
I would say it can be a nice change of pace, but not a regular diet.
I've been having a massage once-a-week for about the last 6 months.
Nice Korean woman -- a member of our church.
I have had a handful of massages from men in the past.
Not as good as having the female hands work my body, but as Rumps said, it can be okay if they know what they are doing.

Re: Lost my man card last weekend.
That it is.
Definitely the vehicle to have in your situation.
I’m currently rolling around in a RAV4 rental. Not a bad rig at all. I’ve even given some thought to trying to buy it away from Enterprise.
It’s the non-hybrid. The dash says I’m getting 33.9 mpg and that’s without really trying. I suspect I could coax better than 35 out of it with some effort. I’ve given some thought to getting the plug-in hybrid version of it. I know the new plug in Prius’ range is up over 50 miles now. That would allow a lot of people to hardly ever burn gas. And it’s nice to know it’ll return the favor and let you run the house off it, if need be.

Re: Lost my man card last weekend.
We took a trip to LA last week for a couple of shows. It’s 105 miles each way and I could have made the round trip without charging, but the lot we parked in had a bunch of connections so I went ahead and charged up. Normally I charge it, basically for free, at home.
This new one came with two years of free charging at “Electrify America” network stations. Most of those have 150 kW or 350 kW DC fast chargers that will charge it from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes. Still not as fast as pumping gas, but getting closer. We may go on a road trip to NoCal in the fall and see how well that works.
Plug-in hybrids are great, especially if you have a relatively short commute and can go all or most of the way on electric only. Plus you don’t have to worry about “range anxiety.” To me the main drawback is that now you’re dealing with both electric and gas, and maybe more things to go wrong. My plug-in Fusion was a really nice car but it only had about 22 miles of range and was woefully underpowered.

Mikey how does the charge rate affect battery life? Does that 20 minute hi amps fill up cause bad stuff to happen?

Re: Lost my man card last weekend.
There’s a Chinese company that has an interchangeable battery pack.
I really think this is the way to go.
Putting the infrastructure in place to support it would be pricey, but once done, it would be nice to have an electric that can be “charged” in less time than a gas fill up.
How long do the fast chargers take if you want to top of rather than just 80%?

Re: Lost my man card last weekend.
They have scooter companies in Asian doing just that. Pull up, take out your battery, slide in a charged one, you are on your way.
Re: Lost my man card last weekend.
Supposedly you’re supposed to limit it to 80% using the DC fast chargers or it can affect the battery capacity over time. But I’ve also heard that’s mostly if you use them on a regular basis. My home charger is 240 V and about 7.5 kW. I used one of the fast chargers once just to get the hang of it, but I’m likely to pretty much limit it to road trips.
Re: Lost my man card last weekend.
I think for all of us to get on the EV train, we need to get behind nuclear power versus other renewables to support the demand on the grid.
I still think Hydrogen/Electrical is the best option for a sustainable future.

Re: Lost my man card last weekend.
I’m not blaming shit until I see data on new cases of CLL/DLBCL for 2021, 2022.
But, the OL was healthy in 2020.
In early 2021 she took the jab, which is a new “vaccine” that works through a new process which alters the genetics of the immune system.
Shortly thereafter, this healthy as a horse woman who NEVER complained about health problems, complained about feeling weird.
By April she had swollen lymph nodes. She was diagnosed with CLL (chronic lymphocytic lymphoma). She responded very well to treatment for that until it transformed into diffuse large B cell iymphoma.
It called Richter’s Transformation and it is teh suck.
About 11 months later, she passed from it.
So yeah, I guess I’m slightly suspicious that my wife died from a genetic mutation of her immune system after receiving a new vaccine which works by mutating the immune system.
But go ahead and laugh it off and do t forget to hurry down to the clinic for the next booster.

How could anyone think that a vaccine that alters our immune system could possibly leave us vulnerable to maladies of all sorts?!
It’s harmless. All you vax fans, please take all the boosters.

The whole point of any vaccine is to alter the immune system, primarily through stimulation. If you want to argue that the COVID vax alters it in a different way than "traditional" vaxes, that's another discussion. But there'd be no point in getting any vaccine if the goal wasn't to beneficially alter immune response.

Spot on...with traditional vaxes, you are actually injecting the "deadened" or inactive form of the virus itself.Booger wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2023 4:06 pmNot sure I’d consider stimulating a response is actually altering the immune system. With mRNA, you are "programming" your DNA to recognize the virus. Vastly different.
Re: Lost my man card last weekend.
Incorrect, as per usualm.
https://www.mskcc.org/coronavirus/myths ... 9-vaccines
https://www.mskcc.org/coronavirus/myths ... 9-vaccines
Myth: The mRNA vaccines change your DNA and could cause cancer.
None of the vaccines interact with or alter your DNA in any way, and therefore cannot cause cancer.
Messenger RNA (mRNA) is not the same as DNA and cannot be combined with DNA to change your genetic code. Here’s now mRNA vaccines actually work:
The mRNA vaccines use a tiny piece of the coronavirus’ genetic code to teach your immune system how to make a protein that will trigger an immune response if you get infected. The mRNA is fragile and it delivers the instructions to your cells to make antibodies against SARS-CoV-2. The mRNA does not enter the nucleus of the cell — the part that contains your DNA.
Therefore, there is no truth to the myth that somehow the mRNA vaccine could inactivate the genes that suppress tumors
