Y2K, Harsh and Atomic Punk (AP) comprised the Fresneck faction. Got together with those guys for drinks once when I had business up there.

Tomas was always about as laid back as anyone in the "Rome family."

But then he had a meltdown one day at .net, and as far as I knew, he was not seen again.

I don't recall the specifics of the situation, but basically, tomas posted something incorrect (or stupid?), and someone busted his balls and some posters laffed at him.

He wasn't happy about it, and he just went -----> ghost.

Maybe someone knows more about the tomas situation than I do, but that is the gist of it, as far as I recall.
7 or 8 years ago, I guess.

Pops, yep, tomas was a good guy. I somehow missed his exit, but I heard about it. Got to let that shit roll off you in here. I can get passionate and wound up, but I leave this place completely when I sign out. I’ve “met” some good folks in here and, as far as the negative stuff, I don’t hold anything against anyone or stay pissed more than a minute.

Goobs was a grumpy old lefty, but was fun to discuss booze with.

I am fb friends with Nish and was able to drag him back in here to answer for his country getting run by an island populated by a few dozen Vikings during the World Cup.

It was fun because he knows how badly they sucked and can talk better shit about them better than we ever could. He is still my all time favorite poster here. And he’s to the left of Queerland.

HBJ- Really miss that dude. He seemed like a genuinely decent human being.

DC smackmaster- Anither of my favorites. His GYJO thread was Epcot. Sadly, he appears to be all grown up with a heater and tax deductions, which cuts into the time one has for telling strangers to GFY.

Luther- WTF ever happened to him? I know he was a bit older. Dead maybe?

Plenty others I miss, but my Alzheimer’s is flaring up so I can’t think of names at this moment.

I actually talked to him by phone once as he was interested in buying a motorcycle from me.

Last I remember I had run some generic smack his way and he got butt-hurt because he thought we were friends.

Tried explaining to him I save my best smack for actual friends. Oh well, no great loss.

Have their been any Dins sightings? I find it hard to believe such a blowhard would voluntarily walk away from this sewer.
