Weekend Roll Call 7-6-24

Post by kcdave »

AC/DC live earlier in the week on their Euro tour.
Rumors have them making a stadium tour in the states
next year.

Nice, long 5 day weekend here in FOC. Days and days of high heat,
humidity, or clouds and rain have taken a break, with some nice
weather for a short stay.
Yesterday was not quite so nice however.
I was confined to the house, waiting on my new mower to
be delivered. I could spend an hour telling the worthless story but wont.
In a nutshell, I feared having delivered the day after a holiday. I have
managed drivers before. I know many of them are simply worthless and
undependable, especially around holidays.
I feared my driver may go out on the 4th, get hammered and not
come to work. That's likely what happened, but Home Depot will
never say. The only thing they would say is that 2 drivers called out
and I would not get my delivery AT 4 O'CLOCK after I had called
three times before and was assured it was coming. I will try again
today.

Sorry for laxing, but I don't have the time to
find any memes that will offend the usual suspects.
Maybe next week.

Happy Weekend, Y'all.

IN. Had a full body PET scan yesterday. Not fun. Hope for no bad news from it. Be in for tunes tonight.

They’ll be OK. They just need a little more sleep and less work at night.

In from Yucatán and recovering from thankfully just a Cat 1 hurricane, which was more than enough when you're right on the beach. No electricity but we have water, kinda. Wife wants a generator, so do I.

I read in the other thread that my gumbo didn't look appetizing  Do a Google image search for gumbo, I think mine looked similar to the other chicken and sausage gumbo. In any event, it tasted better than it apparently looked, and it fed a lot of people.

I go home to Louisiana tomorrow but my wife and dogs will stay here. In two weeks, I'll return here for a week, and then we'll all go home.

Wolfman, docs generally don't do PET scans without symptoms, so I hope you're feeling better soon.

Y'all have a good one.

I noticed the guy in blue did a lot of guitar strumming that didn't make any noise. Does anyone know what that means?

to ROUX and others, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer over 6 years ago. Recent PSA and tests indicate it has moved into lymphatic tissue down there. My urologist ordered it. At agev85, I realize my road is getting shorter.

We had my brother, his wife and their daughter over on Thursday and Friday. They’re visiting from NYC on a college tour of SoCal (she’s a “rising senior” in HS). They visited USC, UCLA and Pomona on Tuesday and Wednesday and then drove down here and spent the night on the 4th. They went down to Del Mar last before dropping her off for a two week summer course at UC San Diego. 7/2 was our son’s birthday so yesterday we had a BBQ and swim party with my brother’s family, our daughter, and our son with his wife, brother in law, MIL and grandma in law. I fixed grilled teriyaki boneless chicken thighs to go on brioche hamburger buns, family recipe ‘tate sal, and “cowboy caviar” (sometimes called Texas caviar but I don’t want to credit Texas with anything I don’t have to). The MIL brought world famous mac & cheese, which she used to sell at farmers markets and by special order. Amazing stuff. It got up to about 92 here but we have plenty of shade and a pool, and usually a nice breeze coming up the San Luis Rey River valley from the coast 13 miles away. 15 miles NE of here it was 112.

We spent three or four days getting ready for this visitation including cooking and belated indoor and outdoor spring cleaning so I’m pretty much relaxing today. Just got finished hooking up my new pre-amp so I finally have stereo sounds again after eight days having to blue tooth to a Bose mini speaker.

That sucks. I had High Dose Radiation Brachytherapy last year for PC. All indications so far are that they got all of it. I’ve had two PSMA PET scans, one before my treatment and one after. I hope they can treat yours or that it at least move slowly. Have you ever had a biopsy?

It probably means the end of his NASCAR career, but that doesn't mean he has to give up smoking.

Wolfman, have you ever considered switching to Marlboro Ultra Lights? They're the Rx of smokes. That soothing menthol action is just what the doctor ordered. And double check your doctor's note, make sure it says 'cancer' instead of 'dancer', a lot of people make that mistake. You'll be just fine.

You’re kidding, right? I think I remember reading somewhere that smoking actually causes cancer. But that probably came from the CDC.

I had the robotic surgery.
It's different from 25 + years ago in that It's "nerve sparing" which is HUGE if you'd like to have "erections" going forward. HOWEVER, NO MORE ejaculations, that's gone. You still can achieve the "orgasm", but it's a "dry" one. Strangely enough, the sensations are stronger than ever, but without the jizz.
As for urinary incontinence, if you're already a stud in the gym, in a few months, you'll be fine. If you're a wimpy pencil neck, invest in diapers and pads.

There's a guy down in Celebration Florida, Dr. V. Patel who's done 18,000 + of these surgeries, including notables such as Oscar "the big O" Robertson, Lou Holtz, and yours truly. JP.
He's the TOPS as far as prostate surgery goes. And that's WORLDWIDE, no one comes close to him.
The "Babe Ruth" or "Da Vinci" if you will.

So if you are cleared by a cardiologist, I say get the surgery. When caught early, you have the best possible outcome.

That’s arguable. Statistically, success rates between surgery and radiation are almost identical. One thing you rarely see mentioned is that victims of surgery almost always lose at least one or two inches in length. Some even end up with an “innie.”

Ok.
Let me address your concerns, some of which are indeed valid.
Let's start with the first one, "radiation"

Think Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The radiation doesn't disappear, it REMAINS in the body for a long period of time, which ultimately can lead to other cancers. Now if you are already in your 70's or 80's and beyond, you might not care as much.

Your second concern might be FAR more valid.
If you already had a small "pp" to begin with, having an "innie" as you so eloquently stated, could catapult you "head first" into the "trans" community for the rest of your life and beyond, if that's your preferred "cup of tea".
But, if you had 8-9 inches to begin with, you'll still be a formidable "corn-fed" stud, able to dryfuck everything in sight.

Hope that helps you on your journey.

Greetings. Today I want to share an interesting case study of a recent patient. He presented in clinic with complaints of anal pain with urinary and sexual disfunction, and initially denied trauma.

However upon exam an etiology of disease was ruled out. Anal fissures, hemorrhoids, colon perforations, internal bruising, multiple STIs, and prostatitis were found.

The patient kept referring to himself as "corn fed" and he finally admitted that "corn fed" was his preferred method of preparation for sexual activity, with him inserting a full corn cob into his rectum. The patient stated that this practice was necessary due to his partner's massive penis and vigorous sexual activity.

Routine robotic prostatectomy and colon resection was performed, and the patient had an unremarkable and successful recovery. On follow-up, a concerning photo was noticed as the patient's screen saver for his phone. The patient then admitted that he volunteered his services as a horse semen extractor and sheath cleaner. Due to concern that the patient's trauma was equine and not human induced, a psychotherapy consult was ordered.

Wishing you a good day, Vipul Patel
