Re: Presidential Debates
Opening the floodgates to allow millions of people willing to do anything does not directly hurt the economy if you are retired or if you can’t be replaced at work by one of these people.
But, if you’re in a job where you could be replaced by an illegal, you’re being underbid.
Last month I was at my sis’ house in NC. She and her husband are both never Trump republicans. I was discussing this topic with Sean and he was saying the flood of low wage workers wasn’t an issue.
Not to him. He’s an IT director of an international mega corp. the only way he’s affected is that his landscaping costs are kept low.
As for security, well, those millions who get in with no possible way of being vetted just might be bad guys.

If there was much greater enforcement in the workplace of immigration laws there wouldn't be....
A) Illegal immigrants taking those jobs,
and
B) Once word gets back to Mexico that the job market has been closed to illegal immigrants they'll stop coming.
Yet the GOP just isn't interested in taking such an action. Gee, I wonder why...
Could it have anything to do with the way that Sean is affected by illegal immigration?
Again, decrease availability of American jobs & you'll have less difficulty weeding out those who wish to do us harm.Last month I was at my sis’ house in NC. One of their most potent magic elixirs is called the Minimum Wage Law. Maybe you’ve heard of it?
The rest of your post is fantasyland nonsense. The mayor of my city is handing out free debit cards to illegal immigrants and putting them up in swanky hotels. In exchange for nothing, except merely being here for a few weeks.
As long as the American taxpayer griftmill is churning and the border is open, illegals will keep coming in. Available jobs is far down the list of reasons.
As for the criminals and drug cartels they don’t need any added motivation. Not even a welcome mat. They’ve been setting up shop in our cities for some time now.

At the very least they won't survive Trump's stacked & corrupt SCOTUS. And then there's judges like Cannon who should have recused herself from the documents case. The judicial system (with regards to the bench) is an absolute joke.88BuckeyeGrad wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 1:10 am Hungus bet on whether the 34 convictions will survive appellate review? Re: Presidential Debates
Trump was talking about this statement by then Virgina Governor, Ralph Northam:
Ralph Northam: You know, I wasn't there, Julie, and I certainly can't speak for Delegate Tran, but I would tell you -- one, the first thing I would say is this is why decisions such as this should be made by [healthcare] providers, physicians, and the mothers and fathers that are involved. There are -- you know when we talk about third-trimester abortions, these are done with the consent of, obviously, the mother, with the consent of the physicians, more than one physician by the way. And it's done in cases where there may be severe deformities, there may be a fetus that's non-viable. So in this particular example, if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated if that's what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.

Maybe so. I previously said that he should withdraw and let someone else run.
But if he does run, then I'm voting for him. Even if his Dr holds a press conference and says Biden has Parkinson's, I'm still voting for him if he's running.
Perhaps a better way of saying it is that I'm voting against trump. Right now, I'd vote for Jimmy Carter over trump.
Zero chance that I'd ever vote for the orange felon.

The lawfare charade will ultimately get appealed.
The puréed apple that is now Joe’s brain can never be unpeeled.
The difference is quite appealing.
Nonetheless a vote for Joe is a vote for Joe’s shadowy team of bureaucrats running the show. It’s ok, I’m like Joe, I prefer not knowing what is going on. It’s healthier and more democratic that way.

I anticipate that Joe will resign the presidency by next week, citing "illness" of some sort, which will gain the Dims a sympathy *bump* in the polls.
