Written in Oct., 2003, but still revives ones thoughts on what type of individuals we're talking about this month. No?

(I LOVED the Shwazzenegger comment on Hitler)

Arnie wrote:"I admire Hitler, for instance, because he came from being a little man with almost no formal education, up to power. I admire him for being such a good public speaker and for what he did with it."
One of the reasons that I and other CA residents like Schwarzeneggar is that he doesn't shy away from his past in interviews like many politicians will.

In an interview last year, he was asked about that quote. He responded, "You know, if I knew in 1977 that I was going to run for public office 30 years later, I would have chosen my words more carefully." Quips aside, that quote was made in a muscle magazine interview in which the author of the article was commenting on Schwarzeneggar's rise from a nobody to a massive star in the pumped-up world. He commented on how unusual that was, especially for an Austrian who emigrated to the US. He then asked him who he admired and why. Arnold responded that he admired Hitler because he rose from nothing to become the leader of all of Europe...for a short time. Not equating, comparing. He didn't say, "I loved the 'final solution'" or "I like Hitler, except he needs to finish what he starts", he noted that Hitler was a common Austrian and that his rise was nothing short of miraculous. ***NEWSFLASH*** He's right! Sure, Hitler was a first class nutjob, but his rise was incredible.

Additionally, the guy was an amazing speaker. Ever heard any of Hitler's old speeches? That man could have made millions selling SaladSpinners on late night cable. What's so terrible about saying that he was a great speaker? He was! It's acknowledging the obvious.

I'm calling bullshit on 99% of the rest of that article. If there were any truth to it, Katie Couric, the NY Times and the LA Times would be talking about it every day for the next three years.

At least you read it.
I found a lot of it to make sense.
And for anyone to admire Hitler for ANYthing, is rediculous. No matter when they said it!

That'd be like me saying, "yeah, I really admire Jack-o. He came from a meager black family, and broke off from the J-5 and made himself the greatest entertainer on the planet."

HE'S ALSO THE GREATEST BOY PEDOPHILE FREAK ON THE PLANET!!

Savy?

So, I, with a half a brain; would not say to you that I admire ANYthing about Michael Jackson. Because we all know now what Michael Jackson is. A freak.
But BOY, what a Public "singer", huh?
