Came across the man on the Travel Channel tonight. He seems to have plenty of intelligence and enough humility to recognize he's a monkey who just likes duck fat and not 100% pretentious.
I loved Cook's Tour on Food Network but it was cancelled for Emeril reruns or some shit.
His new show on the Travel Channel is called No Reservations. I saw him wandering about Paris spending plenty of time looking for fun. I did come away with the notion that the show isn't so much about finding local fare and more info on its origins so much as watching him stumble about a travel locale.
Still, anything with this guy is worth the time.
