WMAQ is reporting that Chicago QB Rex Grossman
has suffered a fractured left ankle and will be out 3 to 4 months.
The Bears did not go after a veteran QB this summer to back up
Grossman and have a pretty bare cupboard behind him. Chad Hutchison
has never done much as a pro and Kyle Orton is a rookie.
This is a huge blow as well to WR Muhsin Muhammad who had been looking great.
So is it too late to remove Chicago as my up and coming NFC team?
It's the Bears own fault they are in this situation, Grossman, Hutchinson, and Orton is simply not an adequate QB situation.
Sincerely,
You know the rest.
Hey Faider fan since it's obvious that Tui no longer fits into your long term plans would you be interested in a possible trade with the Bears?
Or are you intent on waiting until he signs in Tampa?
Is it bad luck that the Bears had Chad Hutchinson as the backup QB despite Grossman’s injury history? I think not. Incompetence is more like it. Maybe the Bears have Jeff Blake's number....probably not.

If I'm the GM I'd consider it. Get a 3rd rounder for him. Tui fit when Gruden, and Callahan were coaches. He doesnt fit this "new" offense.
I saw they signed Blake today, but don't underestimate Chad Hutchinson, the guy had 3 years off of football and was thrown on a team with the worst coach in the history of football. I don't think Chad had the same offensive cordinator for 2 years in a row the whole time he has spent in the NFL..
He has nice touch on the ball, watching him on the Bears last year he was the only one after Grossman to get the offense moving.. I don't think he'll be the next Montana, but if he looses the fumbleitis he might end up being a good backup for the Bears.
