Rivals: Lynch Voted #1 Breakout Performer for 2005

The Bears might produce the nation's only 2,000-yard rusher for the second consecutive season.

Lynch looked spectacular in back-up duty last season for J.J. Arrington, averaging 8.8 yards per carry and running for back-to-back 100-yard games down the stretch.

The sophomore, who was ranked Rivals.com's No. 2 running back from the class of 2004, might have a better offensive line than Arrington, and with the addition of 15 pounds in the offseason, he will be able to handle more carries with his muscular 5-foot-11, 215-pound frame.

MARSHAWN LYNCH, rb, California - Breakaway runner with Bush-like elusiveness, he might be more talented than J.J. Arrington, the 2,000-yard rusher he replaces in Jeff Tedford's well-tuned offense.

so with a QB who can't throw he is going to gain 2,000 yards running into 7 and 8 man fronts...? m'kay...if that's the case then he should have just skipped college all together...

well in the board bitch race...

m2 has pulled slightly ahead of Trix while Babs and Jon have faltered...

I'm not going to call you retarded, but I sure as hell know, you didn't spend a lot of time swimming in the deep end of the gene pool.

Those "quotes" are from the writers of those articles, and not mine you moron. Not that I disagree, but they weren't my words...

I know you're ignorant on Cal football and Tedford, so I'll let this pass this time, and hope you don't open your mouth before thinking next time...

Tedford has never had a QB that has thrown for less than 2400 yards, 19 TD's, more than 10 interceptions, well over 50% comp. percentage with over 5 yards an attempt.

Cal will throw the ball, and they will do it well.

perhaps I should cut you the hall pass...

yes I know enough about Tedford and Cal football to know that he has slowly built Cal into a PAC 10 title contender...and that SC still has scoreboard...

but your post and your link to the story just shows your homer/myopic all things Cal. I know that it was a Rivals story but your constant pimping of Cal without a lot of substance is laughable...

they will throw well huh? not according to the last article you posted regarding ayoobi or whatever the fuck his name is...sounded like Jeff was a little apprehensive about this supposed stud JC QB...is what I read now wrong?

perhaps you should just sit back for a while and cool the Cal hype engine...until they play a game or 4. because right now your constant posting trying to get us to believe that Cal is something has you swiming in the shallow end of the gene pool...

wasn't it you who still holds dear and can't bring yourself to admit SC was the better team last year due to the final score but you still hammer away that you had more 3rd down conversions, more water bottles, and more whatever and that in and of itself is the sole determining factor in a game and not the final score? isn't it you who only chooses to go back 5-7 years to quote the Cal/SC series? you want to talk retarded?

KYOA much?

Kalfan right now: GO BEARS, NUMBER ONE, WE WILL DOMINATE

Kalfan after they lose a few games this season: BEARS? WHAT BEARS? PASS THE BONG DUDE.

I wish folks would quit talking about Lynch, I want to pick him up in my fantasy-league and all this talk is taking him from sleeper to big-money pick.

I guess I'll have to find somebody more sleepy that is still flying under the radar. I'm thinking maybe Sam Keller from ASU(we have Pac10, Big10, and Big12 to pick from).
