Damn I was looking forward to seeing Believe the Bomar.

I figure Bomar will be the starter by the RRS, I have heard he has a simular problem to Simms in that he thinks his arm can do anything.

Someone on Orangebloods posted this little tidbit from the AAS

From the American Statesman - "What do you think my reaction is? I ain't happy or anything like that," he said. "They said they're going to get me in there, I think I've earned that right. I guess a couple of bad scrimmages screwed me over. But I think I've earned the right to get in there and play. So we'll see what happens."

Bomar on not being named the starter.

In doing my fantasy research I've read some practice reports it sounds like Thompson has just out-performed Bomar and is the guy more likely to get you a W at this point. With a workhorse like Peterson you need a qb that can run the offense not the guy who makes a brilliant play then turns the ball over. Bomar should get there eventually, he just isn't there now.

Bomar has more big play potential that is for sure. Having said this Paul Thompson likes the short passing game more but has been far more consistant.

Stoops was smart to wait for school to begin to name a starter. Now Bomar would have to wait for 07 to play elsewhere. I'm not saying Bomar would have left(Bomar is still in the race) but it is something to consider when dealing with a star-athlete and a star-athlete's ego.

Well, part of this issue is also racial.

===================

I think that, in terms of breaking in new receivers and 3/5's of a line, Thompson is the smart; safe pick. However, I think that, if the offense gets stagnant, it's gonna be Bomar and it's gonna be a ride.
