Not looking great.

Fuck it.

I have a stock that is going to double tomorrow as a result of a 210 Million dollar contract they announced after the bell so I'm really not feeling that bad about my Chiefs completely sucking ass on MNF

The Chiefs will win this game.

Thankful I didn't try to ejacu.....err.....eVacuate, what with the horrific traffic nightmare gettin' out of Harris County.

I hear there's another "sytem" down in the carribean right now.

Glad to hear Bro.

Yea, we had a few storms make it this far North, just enough to keep me from having to turm the sprinklers on my new grass.

One of my Buds did try and get north. He, his wife (who badgered him into leaving) and their 5 month old daughter spent 10 hours trying to get North before they finally gave up and weathered it out. He lives in The Colony and said only a few branches lost

Promise? :(

Next year KC needs to head out to Denver early to try to get acclimated to the altitude. They are definitely sucking wind, among other things.

Absolutely humiliating performance. This game can't get over soon enough.

It looks like the Chiefs bought into Gunther's game of giving up...

I still think the Chiefs are the better team... minus Gunther...

Ok talk about an asskicking. Sheefs haven't even landed at the airport yet!

I'm very impressed by the dominance of the Broncos tonight and amazed at the lack of presence by the Chiefs. I thought that D was supposed to have improved! Not even a 90 yard run by Dante Hall!

Willie Roaf's absence had nothing to do with this enialation. This was a team effort....just like the Broncos humiliation in Miami.

My apologies to all Broncos fans. Most people I talked to last week and the days leading up to tonight all agreed that the Chiefs D was too much and the Broncos would struggle against it plus the team known for sucking it up on MNF. Obviously the Broncos were out to prove otherwise tonight.

Great turnaround on the Broncos part and here's hoping for a win at J-ville next week.

It's amazing...

Does the AFC West pay out money, so each team can get a win during the season???

I just saw a draw play where only one player went for a tackle...

and the 5 other Chiefs ran alongside of the runner like they were helping him along and never got their jerseys green...

Bizzare...

I have serious doubts about the Monday night game next week. Chiefs are on a roll and will have big time momentum coming off the win over the Rayduuuhs plus the Broncos are known for sucking it up on Monday nights. And based on yesterdays pathetic performance, it's going to be a loooong season.

I can't pick them to win next Monday:

Chiefs 30
Broncos 14

Sorry fellow Bronco fans, but I'm a realistic fan...I gotta tell it like it is. Unlike a lot of you, I don't live in a fantasy world when it comes to my team.

I'll still be rooting for them and supporting them, and yes I really do want them to win, but based on what I saw yesterday with both teams, it doesn't look good for us.

Feel free to pile on now and pile on some more IF the Broncos pull this one off next week.

Though he may spell "annihilation" incorrectly, though he may kick on third down, d-town certainly distinguishes himself as the most reasonable poster among the Donk contingent.

Which isn't saying much.

Instead of showing just a little class to even one of your own, ICSF, especially in the wake of a dominating performance against a division rival, you display the most pathetic backbiting in petty scrounging for bode.

Your weakness is noted. Excellent.

Donkfan, you are surely too stupid to take good advice, but I'll offer it anyway as a gesture of good smacksmanship... disappear the week leading up to 'Skins vs. Donks. The lot of you will be pounded down should you trespass during that time.

Enialation?

Nice.

That said, if you believe that statement, you're not much smarter than your spelling and play-calling tendencies would indicate (nope, that's not going away any time soon).

Pryce had a monster game against Black, and then continued that into the fourth quarter once the game was all but out of reach against a tired, beat-down offensive line.

While I'm not about to say the result on the scoreboard would have been different, the game itself certainly would have. Pryce simply abused Black and turned him into his own personal turnstyle. Whether he was getting blown by on a speed rush, or loosing his block and causing running plays to get stuffed, Black was simply overmatched tonight, and it had a reverberating effect down the rest of the line.

Black < Roaf, but Black > Bober and Sampson. Shifting him away to cover at LT opens up another front on the right side of the line. While the line as a whole didn't play particularly well, it's not easy for backups to get up off the mat after getting punched in the mouth as we did in the first quarter.

Roaf changes the complexion of our line entirely. Drives aren't killed on third-and-long as often. Penalties aren't piled up by lineman desperately trying to keep Green from getting bulldozed. And, yes, a tired defense is kept off the field in a truly demoralizing game.

Denver's a tough place to play. The Doncs definitely brought it last night, kicked Kansas City's ass to the curb and made a statement in the divisional race.

No doubt about that.

Kansas City, though, can fix their problems and play better.

You, on the other hand, will continue to embarrass yourself and your fellow Donc fans with your ignorance.

Feel free to resume your weak attempt at piling-on after the fact, though.

Oh so now I'm ignorant eh? I guess that's because I failed to acknowledge that in your minds eye, Willie Roaf is the Kansas City offensive line and is worth an additional 10 points to the offense.

So let me ask you this.....how many points is Priest Holmes worth to the KC offense? How many is Trent Green worth? How about Gonzo, is he worth 10 too? When we start adding up what each players value to the Chiefs is, I think the point total would be about 75 per game.....

My asking why dtown is considered the only "reasonable" Bronco fan is an attempt to pile on?

The Chiefs definitely missed Roaf yesterday..........

As for your wild exaggerations, I do believe Roaf would have made a difference on the scoreboard last night. I find it curious that you can't see any logic in that. Especially after witnessing Black, Bober and Sampson 'tard it up against your defense. Before you start attempting to twist my words around, though, it wouldn't have affected last night's final outcome. In addition to the fact your team played lights-out, Kansas City's personal foul penalties, dropsies, and worn-out defense made certain of that.

I've already explained this in detail; however, if you can't even figure out the fact you're not the one being addressed in the above post, I guess I can't knock you for not being able to understand any of what I wrote now, can I?

Truman wrote:Monday Night is a Statement Game for the Chiefs and a Must-Win for the Donks.

Why? The Chiefs take command of the Division with road-win Monday night. Now trailing by two games, the Donks fall into a tie with the Blots, who should take care of business against a much-improved Giants team at home on Sunday night. Oh, and the Raiduhs start thinking draft position after going armadillo at Philly. The Horse Heads must win to keep pace, secure a tie in the Division, and protect the home pasture.

A loss also presents the Mules with the unenviable task of trying to break serve in Kansas City later in the year. December roadies to Arrowhead have been less than kind to the Hee-Haws of late; the Mules have pulled off this feat exactly once in the last 20 years. Finally, a Chiefs victory all but secures them playoff berth. Seven more wins would put them at 10-6, and with seven of the next 13 at home, I like our chances.

That said, color me unimpressed with Dickie V’s “perfect record” at Invesco and the football gods bestowment of back-to-back prime-time roadies against our most bitter rivals. Unfortunately, it all boils down to Defense and Willie Roaf’s health. Has the D learned to recognize the boot? Can they prevent the One Big Play that usually comes home to roost at Dungver? As for Roaf, his presence assures six yard bursts by the Priest and 20 yard gallops by Grand Ma-ma. More importantly, he secures Trent’s health every time he drops back to pass.

I don’t like this game. Too many injuries, a jacked-up Monday Night Mile High crowd, and a desperate Mule team… Rod Smith will most likely have his usual 9 catches and 170 yards (even if Plummer throws left handed), and should form hold true, (insert journeyman running back’s name) will likely get a buck-fifty on the ground.
Well, now, that was fun... How often does one get to see his team beaten soundly in all three phases of the game? Wouldn't want the Chiefs to run away from the Division now, would we?

Denver's offense spilled through Kansas City's "defense" like flood water through a dynomited levee. And the smell? It ain't toxic residue... It's the Chiefs offense.

OK, so Smith was about 2 catches light and 90 yards short of my prediction (i.e. why throw when you're up 27?), and I suppose I was just a bit too optimistic on the Donk running-back-by-committee rushing totals. Oh, and the One Big Play turned into about half-a-dozen. Other than that, the rest of my take reads like Nostra-freaking-dumbass.

Clearly, Jared Allen honed his mad DE skeels at the pre-school he jocked during introductions. Memo to Jared: It's called a "boot", and the Mules run it every other play. Nice to see Kawika Mitchell return to form as he was turned sideways and blown seven yards backward by the Donk's O line. And Sammie Knight might wanna try wrapping up on an Anderson, Lelie, or Bell instead of reaching out to pull their flags....

Nicely done, Red Storm "D".

Finally, Pinks, Roaf's absence lends credence to our 10-point assertion of his value. Funny thing is, though, I didn't realize hammys were infectious - 'cuz it sure looked like the whole O line was suffering from the same ill effects.

Without him ( and the rest of the line for that matter), Priest pretty much looked old and slow last night, and Grand Ma-ma pretty much looked young and slow. And it's really kinda tough for your quarterback to hook up with double-and-triple-covered receivers with the likes Al Wilson in your grill all night. 'Course, Samie Parker woulda dropped it had Trent the time to throw one his direction. So we get blown out 30-20 instead of 30-10.

At any rate, mad props to the Mules and their fanbase for a solid ass-kicking last night.

The thing I was most amazed at last night was Green's melt down. Granted, the Denver defense was harassing him most of the night, but his lack of composure (coupled with his Chad Pennington throwing impersonation) was really pretty startling. Would Roaf have made a difference? Probably, but they weren't going to stop Pryce whether Roaf was in there or not. He would have just moved over to whatever blocking position he felt was the weakest in order to give himself the best opportunity to harass Green.

After watching the KC offense last night, I'm willing to admit that Roaf is obviously the key component in KC's running game, hence he may in fact be a 10 point difference to their offense.

Props to you, orc, and the rest of the KC contingent (with a few exceptions)
