Vinny Testaverde To Replace Jets' Pennington
(New York- WABC, September 27, 2005) - Quarterback Vinny Testaverde will return to the New York Jets to replace Chad Pennington, who was injured last week.
The team plans to make the announcement at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon.
The 41-year-old Testaverde, who started for Dallas last season, was at the Jets' training complex this morning for a physical. He was unsigned when this season began.
Testaverde will fill the void left by injuries to starter Chad Pennington and backup Jay Fiedler, who also injured his shoulder after replacing Pennington in Sunday's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jets also worked out Doug Johnson, Jesse Palmer, and Jonathan Quinn today and may sign one of them, too.
Pennington suffered a torn rotator cuff in Sunday's game against Jacksonville and is expected to be out for the season. Fiedler also suffered a severe shoulder injury and could also be out for the year.
I know Jeff George is cancer, but Damn, how much worse could he be than Vinnie?
I think I heard this one from Salisbury too. A few weeks back I was going to start a running topic like dumbshit quotes from Salisbury.
Mr. Brown Noser and band wagon extraordinaire should think a little before calling out that one. How the fuck is TEN supposed to deal Volek when he's their only back up, a back up to a guy that gets banged up, a back up to a guy who's years of availability are quickly diminishing. Come on felix, I know you are smarter than that. They have to find a team with more depth and there are not many that have it and would be willing to deal it. I doubt Cinci would move Kitna given the early success. they wouldn't want to see it all go to the shitter if Carson goes down. Brad Johnson maybe? The Jets season was looking bleak as it was. Let the Matt Leinart sweepstakes begin. Baltimore better not find a way to start winning and let The Jets steal him.
Striving to be a victim of Polly's plagiarizing ways.

Everyone has a price......the question is are the Jets willing to pay it.
