Watching the Jest/Jags game, Gus Johnson and Brent Jones come off as a couple NY homers.

I'll nominate CBS' Dick Stockton for his calls during the 'Skins Week 1 win over Da Bears,
referring to the Washington QB as "Scott" Brunell several times
before correcting himself. :P

G.O.- I see you're from my old neck of the woods in G-town. How are things there?
We should get the DC area trolls together sometime!

That whole espn crew is nothing but a constant ear bleed. Paul McGuire sounds like he's ready to eat someone during the telecast. Theisman is Tim McCarver without the stupid southern twang and Mike Patrick makes every tackle out to be the most ferocious tackle since Concrete Charlie laid out Gifford.Adelpiero wrote:Phil Simms is horrible

During the SC - Oregon game I heard Keith Jackson refer to Kellen Clemons as Kellen Winslow.
I wonder if he meant Jr. or Sr.

KJ is getting up there in years. I'll give him a pass due to his lifetime body of work.Mikey wrote:During the SC - Oregon game I heard Keith Jackson refer to Kellen Clemons as Kellen Winslow.

No one has ever said "Al-abama" better than he did.

As for horrible announcers, Brent Musburger needs to be shot to death period. Holy crap he's horrible. And speaking of "horrrrrrrible", Bill Walton is right behind him. Thank goodness for the mute button.
All of the NFL announcers pretty much suck sans Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. The rest of them are just plain awful. And Sterling Moss (he's married to Randy right?

Moose and Aikman are both good in my book.velocet wrote:What do ye all say about Moose? Aikman? Dan Fouts when he was on MNF?
Boomer Esiason on MNF was horrible on the TV side, but right now he does a credible job on the MNF radio broadcast.
velocet
Dan Farts never did much for me.
Agree about Boomer. I like he and Marv on radio.
Btw, velo, Norv's gonna get it done in Oakland.

CBS NFL game analyst Brent Jones, scheduled to work Sunday's Houston Texans-Cincinnati Bengals game, resigned Thursday. Jones, 42, played 12 NFL seasons and was in his sixth season at CBS. Lou Oppenheim, Jones' representative, says Jones "chose to leave" in order to "spend more time with his family and business ventures on the West Coast." Says CBS' LeslieAnne Wade, "We'll miss him."
HAHAHAHA, good riddance!!!!
