Hey Big 12 Fans

I've got a little bit of money left in my account to throw on a game this weekend and I'm going to put it on either:

Texas A&M -23.5 @ Baylor

or

T. Tech -17 vs Kansas

What's the better pick?

Tech is easy money Leach loves running up the score. So unless Kansas is good enough to win the game expect to see a complete blowout.

Aggsy suck I would normally take the ags in this situation but Baylor beat them last season and almost beat them two years ago. Take Baylor and the points.

With all that being said, the safe bet is to do the opposite of what I say.

the aTm game is in college station, i believe. i'm not sure i could lay 24 to a team that beat Texas State by half that.

i don't know. Mangino has seen Leach's stuff up close at OU (and ran his O in 2000)....that might make me wary.

i'm not sure the best bet isn't CU -3 at OSU. Barney's teams are schizo--but they should beat the pokes pretty easily unless Gundy has been sandbagging against inferior teams. which seems unlikely.

I'd take Baylor to cover that at home before I'd take A&M to cover it on the road.

Colorado -3 is far better than either of those two games.

Believe me, I'm not looking at it as ATM being a good pick, rather betting against Baylor is usually always a good pick. Baylor is still Baylor, and has the potential to lose by 30 points to anyone they play on any given day, though I realize they're not quite bas bad as past Baylor teams. I forgot Baylor beat ATM last year, and that'll probably be enough to steer me toward the Tech pick.

Colorado -3 @ OKST is an interesting game. I don't know enough about either team to throw down on that one. It appears OKST has squeaked by on each game so far with one of the worst out of conference schedules I've ever seen.

I'd say Baylor to cover even though it is in Kyle field is a decent bet after last week.

Of course, 2 years ago when the Ags were 4-8, they still beat Baylor 73-10 at Kyle.

One thing is for sure, Fran was embarrassed by the Texas State game last week. He was even more embarrassed when losing to Baylor last year in Waco. In all honesty, I can see a repeat of 73-10. Depends on if Jeckyl or Hyde shows up Saturday.

take tech

leach is a dick who doesn't call off the dogs, and Kansas is not a good team at all. Last year Tech went from down 17, to beating KU by 30 i believe last year in lawrence.

easy money! course taking the 14.5 with Zou is a gimme.

But Tech is the nuts play!

You're close. Tech won by 1.

Good luck hanging on to that money with all that critical, game-deciding information you posess.

Geez... sounds like it's a choice of taking the lesser of two evils:
1. [wink]pick against Baylor, generally a pretty good thing[/wink]
2. Pick with Ttech and Leach, the pt. hoarder, generally another good thing.

Tough decision. TTech has racked up all their pts against ooc competition that would make even a K-state fan blush. Baylor at least has beat 1A competition... three times.

Go with the pt. hoarder.

That sounds pretty safe. But if you are going for the safe bet I would think T-Bills would be the way to go. :D
