WASHINGTON – Raising new concerns about the use of weapons of mass destruction by terrorists, al-Qaida is planning spectacular attacks next month against the U.S., Russia and Europe in what it is calling the "Great Ramadan Offensive."
The offensive, designed to overshadow the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on New York and the Pentagon, was first referenced in a May 30 letter written by al-Qaida's Iraq commander Abu Musab Zarqawi to Osama bin Laden. It is the subject of a report written by terrorism expert Yossef Bodansky, the former director of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare, to government officials. Bodansky's report was first exposed in a story by CNSNews.com reporter Sherrie Gossett.
Ramadan, the holiest period in the Muslim calendar, begins Oct. 4 this year and lasts a month.

I keep thinking about how the Oleans folk kept getting huricane warnings that never came to pass until Katrina opened her legs and let go.
Everyone knows that these aq_fuc-tards are more than willing, but the ghazillion dollar question is, are they capable?
In God we all hope not; still after witnessing America's recently apparent lack of leadership when it actually mattered, and hearing that 7 U.S cities have been earmarked for nuking, if I lived in a large U.S city, I would be doing whatever possible to vacation my family the hell outta dodge until Nov 5th.
Anywho; here's hoping that this new threat is just another old Eqwar wet dream, and even thought the presumption of your governments effectiveness appears to have more to do with poli_over-exaggeration_point_gathering than reality, you can still all take comfort in knowing that your outstanding minutemen are on the stick.

Well if conspiracy theorists are correct, I don't think D.C. will be one of the cities.
Then again, it might be, afterall, D.C. is the root of most of the country's troubles. Bush came into office touting himself as an "outsider", spends most of his time in Crawford as it is, so who knows.
MS-13 has a large presence here.
Oh well.
My survival kit is about 10% complete. Anyone know where I can buy more time ?![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

With all the horseshit around here, you'd think there'd be a pony somewhere.
then bin-laden is working directly for the Bush Family.
somebody over at KOS predicted that there would be another attack to direct attention away from the real conspiracy theory of which the plame investigation is apparently the tip of the iceberg, such things as the bombshell in the George Stephanopoulous interview this morning.*
something is rotten in denmark.
something ain't right in DC.
*somebody else predicted they hoped George wasn't about to be Rathered through his source.

I'm thinking DC is a little to difficult these days. And as McVeigh said, a terrorist is looking for a high body count to gain attention.Tom In VA wrote:Well if conspiracy theorists are correct, I don't think D.C. will be one of the cities.

I think a large gathering in TX would be a good target (Astrodome might be a very soft target). While a Cowgirls' game might seem like an obvious target, a London style attack at various high school football games in Texas might be more likely (POTUS's home state, high body count, average americans being more terrorized because of the number of average joes killed at a high school football game).
Our ferries here have also been seen as a target. However, with the tourist crowds gone the ferries aren't as attractive as they were during the summer (and thankfully security has become better as of late).
Perhaps the World Series? At least San Diego will be safe.

I'm thinking CA is next. LA would be easy, since it's so spread out and therefore impossible to secure. But I think San Francisco is a more likely target. There's a big, centralized financial district (similar in that way to WTC and Manhattan), so a large blow struck there would be felt all through the economy. Also, an attack on the Golden Gate or Bay Bridge or really ANY raised highway structure would bring that place to even more of a standstill than it normally is.
It's about big body counts, but also about the biggest effect. Look at Bali. They've effectively killed that entire nation's tourism industry not by bringing down a hotel full of people but by killing people at a disco and a restaurant. The effect of 9/11 wasn't just about killing those 3,000 people, but about damaging our economy and making people afraid to be on airplanes or really in any tall famous building.

I doubt you understand those terrorists, mv.
Bu$h Corp reacted exactly as they expected.
If heaven forbid something god awful would befall the States via the hand of OBL, your P_idiot$ would more then likely play right into the his hands once again.
Seriously 'Bro, you and Bu$h are not equipted to be playing chess with Binny. Best leave that to someone who has a smidgen of foresight.
Anywho; if those ramadana ding dongs are taking requests, hows aboot the queerest part of San Fran, and the gambley part of Vegas.
I'll get a collection drive going to pay for the nukes, if that's legal.

Life's Pretty Straight Without Jimmy Medalions.
I don't know about that mvscal, everything I have read indicates they were trying to goad us into a ground war all those years prior to 9-11. By getting us involved in a ground war, they were hoping we would get wobbly kneed, and pull out like we did in Vietnam. At that point they would have proven us to be "paper tigers".mvscal wrote:No, they didn't anticipate our reaction. They thought we wouldn't do shit but talk tough and maybe lob a couple cruise missiles like we had been doing for the last thirty years or so.
If they anticipated the ass kicking they're taking on every front, then they are far more stupid than, well you for instance.
Quite honestly, I can't say they weren't right on with their gamble on this. It's happening now.
Sure we're getting our licks in and killing insurgents, but any average news cycle, Cindy Sheehan, MoveOn, the Hollywierd Elite, etc... etc... have all played right into the roles Al Q had hoped.

Which front would that be, and exactly whose ass is being kicked, and you really should stop trolling now.
Question:
What do you think the Bu$h Corp responce would be if those evil tards nuked some of your cities???
My guess is your idiot$ would dig an even greater hole for us all then they already have done.
Do you honestly believe that Eqwar is so stupid as to have not already worked responce scenarios out.
FYI...They clearly don't give a rats ass about the Muslim world, 'cept for playing 'em to their end.
Am I wrong...God, I hope so.
I disagree, Tom. They were operating out of Afghanistan, not Iraq. They certainly weren't trying to goad us into a war with Iraq or they would have gone about things differently.Tom In VA wrote:I don't know about that mvscal, everything I have read indicates they were trying to goad us into a ground war all those years prior to 9-11. I'm sure plenty of the pieces have fallen into place like they thought (i.e. media and the hacks on the left), but to say that this whole thing has gone just as they've planned is a gigantic stretch.
Variable, my post was more in response to this line in mvscal'sVariable wrote: I disagree, Tom. They were operating out of Afghanistan, not Iraq. They certainly weren't trying to goad us into a war with Iraq or they would have gone about things differently.

"They thought we wouldn't do shit but talk tough and maybe lob a couple cruise missiles like we had been doing for the last thirty years or so"
Because like I said, everything I had read indicated getting the U.S. in a ground war was their ultimate goal.
Iraq, was "at a time of our choosing". And it's very strategic location benefits us, if it works.
It's not over yet. So I'm wasn't implying that EVERYTHING has gone as planned and to their benefit, but looking at the facts ....
1. They don't mind "attrition", so body counts do no good.
2. 50% or more of our country is doing exactly what they hoped.
3. The talk of us being there for YEARS to come is more realistic then "Iraq is signing a Constitution next week so there's light at the end of the tunnel".
It's definitely going more along the lines of their plan, than your average American's. See they aren't addicted to instant gratification, they don't mind dying, and they know they have the entire world cowering in fear of the slightest insult to Islam and insinuation this is a religious war.
When I see pictures of "Buddy Mohammed", I'll rethink my position.
Anyway, all I'm saying, is that the U.S. (us) and mostly our people over there ... still have much to do. And it won't come cheap.
With all the horseshit around here, you'd think there'd be a pony somewhere.
No question about that mvscal. Militarily, we're succeeding.
But didn't we have another war that militarily, was a victory but an overall loss ?
I don't trust these people, not in the least. Personally, I think they've something up their sleeve. Whereas we assess situations based on the success of quick decisive battles, they, have a more long term plan in mind.
They're counting on the fickle nature of our culture.
