I like MSU's chances against a team that can't attack them where it hurts - the secondary. I dunno if I'd say they're vulnerable, but they struggle more against a spread attack, and it helps that MSU is one of the best in the country at it. They lost to Texas' spread, and they lost to a team that tries to rival Texas' spread. Now they'll lose to MSU's spread. And I know this game will come down to a lot more than quarterback play (at least for Ohio St), but I'm gonna have to go babs here real quick...Drew Stanton vs Troy Smith? What an astounding mismatch..

YDS - Stanton (1139) Smith (563)
Comp % - Stanton (75) Smith (56)
TD/INT - Stanton (11/2) Smith (3/2)

Ouch.

MSU - 31
OSU - 29

Normally I think there's some relevance to stats based on the previous season, but in this case, Stanton is so much better than he was last year that I don't think you can bring that into the picture.

OSU may pull it off, but I can guarantee you MSU will put up more than 13 points. MSU may not be able to beat everyone in the country, but they can put up points against anyone's defense.

God I hope I'm right...

I think we see OSU's Jekyll offense this weekend, leaving all of us Buckeye fans wondering what the hell happened vs. PSU.

OSU 34
MSU 20

(Either that or this is the weekend the defense finally crumbles, after playing its ass off versus Texas & Penn State and watching bitterly on the sidelines as the offense jerks off. But I truly doubt that will happen.)

Hawk and the boys score a Def TD to make for a struggling O and win 24-20.

I feel it may be too early to.....................
oh, what the fuck....................

I say it's going to come down to home crowd. The Ginn factor. Can MSU's D-line keep the pressure on Smith, so Ginns touches are more difficult. And does MSU's coaches kick away from him.

In other words, can MSU's defense use it's brains enough to make up for our crappy placekicker near the red zone? Because if MSU brings any defense at all, they'll win. This offense just has so many weapons, in all different directions. (And MISdirections)

The real challenge is what Caulcrick and Teague do on the ground. Can our big boys up front block guys like Hawk? If not, does Stanton go balistic? (Like he pretty much has this entire season. He's still the Nations top rated passer.) If that happens, it's an MSU laugher.

I say that while it should be real close, the home crowd, and the conferences "WILL" to keep tOSU in the hunt for a good tv ratings bowl game, MSU falls an incomplete pass short on their last possesion, sealing the victory for Ohio.

tOSU 24
MSU 21

IZZ-NE goes down, but still in line for a nice Bowl. And STILL ahead of the shithead Weasels of Ann Arbor. Who after we lose, will get lambasted by the State Penn Lions! @ 3:30 edt. on ABC.

Tough to talk smack with a 2 loss team, but I do think the OSU defense will make the difference in a close one.

completely Agree.

but, methinx that Sparty is gonna feel the Wrath.

~the wrath of BUCKEYEnation that has crucified Tressel and Staff over the past few weeks.

~the wrath of BUCKEYE"O"talent that has been misguided lately.

~the wrath of THE Silver Bullet DEFENSE--->Stanton will be sporting a BUCKEYE on his ASS after the 'beating' he'll take on Saturday.

its gonna be UGLY.

THE 38
sparty 13

....somebody had to BUMP This THREAD? might as well take a bullet for the cause...

I'm wanton to take my Sparty's, because if you remember last year, Stanton tried to go, but couldn't, and we had our Damon Dowdell guy.

Yeah, that's how good HE was. You almost remember his name, right? - Not!

But something tells me that today is Drews chance to vault us back up in that top 10 again. If our porous Defense can hold off Smith and company. And if ND can pull the upset, all the better for our BCS points.

This sat. will be a huge watershed day for the B-10/11. Wisc. and Minny. UM and PSU, and tOSU v. MSU. If you have any yard work, or car work, better get it outta the way NOW; cuz tOSU ans MSU are about to get it on! 3 more hours!!!

Coming off a tough loss at PSU and playing in front of 100, 000 rabid fans you can bet tOSU will be fired-up. MSU's killer offense will keep them in it but their lame D probably won't let them win it at the horseshoe.

Adelpiero,

OSU has blue chip QBs. Their QBs were highly recruited.

Imagine how they'd look with a guy like Basanez, though...

Buckeyes could not have played worse and are down only 3 at the half.

Rack State pissing away a dominating first half.
