GO USF!!!!

Post by PSUFAN »

The Bulls are definitely my favorite Big East team - because of Mucho, but also because they're scrappy.

I'm pulling for the Bulls to spank Wanny and Pitt - keep their Train of Ignominy on the rails.

I see a record-breaking day for Peyton!!

My best bud is an USF alum and he is flying up for the game. There are about 10k travelin to Pitt. I think they are gonna upset them. Wanny needs to be let go and never be let around a sideline again.

Do we count trex? Once floriduh bows out, he usually runs to the nearest contending team from Florida.

Sooners tend to pull a bit for the Bulls since Lee Roy Selmon was their AD for a time....may still be an associate AD of some kind.

Lee Roy: College HOF, NFL HOF, academic all american HOF, lombardi and outland award winner.

and not only that, he's got his own BBQ sauce.

Lee Roy works in the development office and he is the main person spearheading a major campaign drive for the Athletic Department now.

Cicero, there is no way in hell there will be 10,000 USF fans there tomorrow, Maybe 500 tops. Most people already went to PSU and Miami. I know for fact we had about 4,500 at Miami.

Thanks for the well wishes PSU, King, Cicero. The bye week should have helped us and the fact that Pitt kicked our ass last year should be motivation enough.

I worry about our passing game, but I feel we will be able to run at will, so the passing game should be set up nicely.

As long as we don't turn the ball over early we should win.

Yep, and USF should win by 2 or 3 TD's...

as you said... no turnovers, and ST's play well... you can take it to the bank.

The things I feared came to life again today.

Bad turnovers giving the opposing team a short field for easy points killed us again. That, and bad QB play. If Julmiste isn't over or under throwing WR's, then the WR's are dropping passes they shouldn't.

Any D that can stop our running game should beat us. Once we can find a better QB and some WR's with better hands we will be a good team. Seeing that nice WVU comeback today doesn't make me feel better about playing them next week.

Our D is playing so much better this season, but these turnovers are absolutely killing us.

I made sure I did that.

The funny thing is we still can throw a huge wrench in the Big East if we beat WVU this Saturday. As bad as we played the other day, there is still hope. However, until we can play on the road I don't see us winning more than 5 or 6 games this year.

Losing to Pitt? UGH.
We'd lose to anyone turning the ball over the way we did and having the opponent score 21 points off of those turnovers. In all 3 losses we have had this season, turnovers have killed us in every game. In our 3 wins we have turned the ball over 1 or 2 times.

This week is a new week with a home game against the best team in the Conference. If we limit turnovers and can actaully pass the ball with any efficiency, then we should be ok.

Pitt's definitely been improving. I was totally off base with the Peyton prediction.

I was hoping you were right about Peyton, but I wanted to wait until after the game to say this.

Peyton has poor work ethic in practice, a bad attitude with the coaches, and he flat out drops the easiest passes that are thrown his way. Those are the reasons why he doesn't start. The only passes he can catch are the lob fades that Julmiste throws, which are the only passes he throws well.

The fact that our others WR's can't hold on to anything doesn't help either. PSU, you saw that in the game we played against Penn State. Julmiste actually played better in the second half of that game after coming off the bench, but by then the game was pretty much decided. It's unfortunate that we have to wait another year to get an all WR out on the field (Former LSU WR Amp Hill is sitting out his transfer year this year and he is by far our most complete WR) that can make a play.

The bottom line is that we're so 1 dimensional that it is going to cost us games, like the one against Pitt. Opposing teams can just stack the line of scrimmage and be successful until we can mix in a few long passes. e haven't taken many shots down the field as we took last season, which is another issue.

SOrry about the rant. Just pissed we let a glorious opportunity pass us by.
