Rack Pete Carroll and LenDale White

a few years ago before the UCLA game carroll did a similar thing when they had an equipment manager dressed in UCLA gear appera on the roof of a parking structure over looking Jones Field. He looked like he was taking notes and scouting what USC was doing, when players pointed him out Carroll sent security up there and they threw a similar dressed dummy off the building and the players went nuts. Pete has been great at keeping his kids loose and having fun, theres no wonder his players love him and are as good of recruiters among themselves as he Pete has been.

Personally, I say “Rack Reggie Bush!”
While this was a nice little prank and all, Bush wanted no part of it. Maybe he was protecting himself and his career. Maybe he felt it was inappropriate. Who knows. Either way, it was the smart, mature thing to do. God I hope the Titans lose the rest of their games…Bush will look good on Tennessee and pairing back up with Chow.

Well, that was Chow's plan. He wanted to be a head coach so he took an NFL job, and it makes sense he was the OC there in Rivers freshman year. Hmmm....... I hope Amato comes back to FSU and runs the Special teams and recruiting.
I find that hard to believe. My understanding is that Chow had plenty of HC offers at other universities before deciding on the OC job in Tenn. Now if you had said he wanted to be a HC at a top notch program, then I'd agree. Let's face it....being OC at SC is a much better option that being HC at BYU or some shit program.Cicero wrote:Killian wrote:That's the scuttlebutt.Cicero wrote:Are you suggesting that Chow is gonna replace Amato?

He had plenty of interviews, but no offers. He doesn't want the BYU gig because of some racist comments made by the AD towards asian people, while in Chow's presence. He was the OC at NC State before taking the USC gig, so the rumor is that he would be very interested.Roofer wrote: I find that hard to believe. That I don't disagree with.Killian wrote:He had plenty of interviews, but no offers. That he had to go to the NFL to get that gig, I do.
Well maybe he just sucks at interviews and the necks in Tennessee were just too stupid to know any better.Killian wrote:Yeah, that part is mostly opinion. But being the OC for one of the most prolific offenses in college history, and not getting a HC gig out of it, had to be a blow to the ego.
Oh calm down, Vol/Titan fan...it was just a joke!

Chow could have been head coach at a school the caliber of NC State by now, he was holding out for a gig at a better school.
Chow was making well over a million a year as OC at USC and was given a stable of incredible athletes tomake his schemes and system dominant, how great of a recruiter is he going to be and will hehave access to the same type of athletes he had at USC. Will he try to go to USC to hire away some of the assistant coaches, Steve Sarkisian would seem to be the most likely to go with Norm but will Steve take a diminished role with NC State compared to what he has at USC and will he take less money since NC State likely isnt going to pay what USC is paying him now for the lesser role hed take with the Wolf Pack.
Chow took the NC State job cause after several years with BYU he suddenly found himself jobless and that job came up, but he jumped at the first chance at a better school and situation (though USC had been horrible under He Who We Dont Speak Of) it wouldnt seem that hed want to go back there since he seemed so eager to leave there the first time

Someone explain why Pete Carroll is catching shiton the Eastern Sports Promotion Network for doing that on Halloween, saying that no adult should put kids through that kind of shock. to say that Pete only keeps his job after doing that because he has won back to back national titles is a joke, how can anyone see fault in him keeping his team loose and in good spirits?
