What a great week to be a Texas fan
I can't say it any other way but this was a great week for Texas fans.
First we destroy Baylor 62-0, this is the same Baylor that almost beat blOwU and a$m.
Then our SOS was increased by CU and TT (game not over yet) blowing out their opponents.
Finally and most important two teams that were previously undefeated get blown out.
I hate to say I told you so but to everyone who thought that vtech was worthy of their ranking but: I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry SEC fan but there is no way bama finishes undefeated.
Is there any doubt left as to who the top 2 teams are?

i love how you always say BlowU. it's so clever.
it's rarely see anyone else on this board of mixed team affiliations who are as clever as you. who elevate their commentary to such lofty cerebral levels.....seems your peers are none.

Almost as clever as "Tuck Fexas" "TU", and hordes of trailer dwellers and carnies flashing upside down hook 'em horns fans. That kind of remedial shit goes on for all rivalries across every spectrum of college athletics. Texas finally got the best of their rival this year, possibly en route to a Conference Championship and a Rose Bowl trip. Just accept that BlowU is old news this year.

This from a fan base that will do the upside-down-Hook'em sign at every game regardless of opponent.Believe the Heupel wrote:Yeah, I agree with campinfool. You can't really expect Texas fan to act like they've been there before. They haven't.

As long as I've been a Texas fan I've almost come to expect some kind of let down. Mack Brown's arrival brought promise and excitement back to a dormant program. But the "paper champion" and other knocks against the program have been ringing true the last few years. Just when you think this may be the year they usually find some way to rip your heart out. Although there are still games to be played this year seems to have a different feel than years past. I know the Okie State game instilled fear for 2 quarters but I'm really starting to believe Mack may finally score his first conference championship. I think it comes down to finally starting a season without a quarterback controversy. Vince Young may be the greatest palymaker I have ever seen and I can only hope this team continues to prove they are finally worthy of all the hype and ratings. I think Mack Brown deserves it as well as thousonds of hungry Longhorn fans.

Even when we were down 28-9 I never got that fear, I knew once we pulled our heads out were were going to go out and beat the crap out of the pokes.
The only game I feared a loss was in OSU in the shoe. After that I have not looked back again.

Good times.
It's all in jest, although I think he really does hate me and wants to buttfuck me in my mouth just because I'm from Texas. That's just not very friendly.

Do I need to show you the 2k picture of your team after winning the MNC half those brainiacs are doing the upside-down Horn-sign. So I guess you were making fun of them?Believe the Heupel wrote: Wahhhh. The big ol' OU meanies make an upside-down Horn-sign at us! We should change our fight song to include them!
For what it's worth, we make fun of people who make the upside-down horn signs during the Baylor game.
There is nothing big about blOwU outside of your inflated ego, or do I need to remind you that after 100 years of playing Texas you now have 39 wins, and that if after the last 5 years.

Technically wrong since I'm an old fart and was born in 68.
But I did see Texas play for championships in 77 and 83.
Do I need to remind you that outside of 2k every championship I have witnessed blOwU win was followed up by NCAA probation.

I remember the one in the 80's. What I remember about it was that we were put on probation for flying a player home because of a family emergency. I don't know much about any other Probation but if you can enlighten us please do so. Some of the shit OU has done to get on probation was pretty legit and there was tons of crap Switzer did that could have put you on probation (see Marcus Dupree recruitment)

fair enough about skully Prime. but i don't think he'd ever say "Tuck Fexas"--he's more direct than that.PrimeX wrote:So you just skim right past OUskull posts, eh? your last point is incorrect. OU did not go on probation after the 74 or 75 NC. they were on probation for the 74 season and no bowl game--PRIOR to. you also imply that OU "cheated" to win NC's. OU won it in 85. and went on probation due to the behavior of a few players who were not on those teams (1989). but, you probably still believe that the corruption in the SWC was because "teams were trying to keep up with UT". i've read it 1000 times at hornfans. UT was clean. like most of what you post, it's a convenient myth to believe.Vito Corleone wrote:Technically wrong since I'm an old fart and was born in 68.

how did 77 and 83 turn out, Vito? there was a reason the Cotton Bowl was on at noon on New Years Day. no one cared. it nearly never mattered.
at and the very least, OU played non-white players in 1956 and not until 1970 did it happen on the 40 acres. i'm sure that has something to do with cheating and probation at OU too.

Couple of things: We did fly someone home using a boosters jet for a family emergency. Some players were caught filling out numerous Pell Grant applications and several players were caught selling their complimentary tickets. I don't remember the too much from the recruiting violations, I do remember that we were placed on 2 years probation and we might have lost a couple of scholarships for a year.Believe the Heupel wrote:Institution: University of Texas at Austin

And the probation for flying a player home for an emergency was us. Switzer bought an Australian track star a plane ticket home for Christmas.
Now compare that to what you guys have had in the way of NCAA punishments. You guys can point fingers all you want at the old SWC but outside of SMU no team cheated more than you guys did. Or to be more correct no team outside of SMU got caught cheating as much as blOwU did.

you should check your sooner partners one of them brought up cheating in the SWC.Believe the Heupel wrote:Who's pointing fingers? As I recall, you're the one that brought it up-and did so in a factually incorrect manner.

Yea, I have no problem calling you blOwU, dirt burglers, land thieves, or Spooners.
BTW did anyone notice that Vince has passed Bush on the ESPN Heisman poll

Wow. I have no problem with Texas fan (A good guy I work with here is a very modest Texas fan. Go figure that he was born in Nebraska and the moved to Texas at a young age), but I can see why they're hated. Texas still hasn't won yet, but Texas fan is already gloating? I think your team is a lock for the championship game, but you're gloating now? Get the Big 12 championship and then gloat some. Then wait until you actually beat USC and then gloat even more.

I guess you weren't here in 2k when blOwU fan had their little October run. They talked 10X more shit than Texas fan, and at the time I do believe they didn't win shit yet either. At Large wrote:Wow. I'm not worried about the BCS championship game if Texas gets there they would have won the Conference which means that Mack finally has his championship and Texas would have shown some real progression. After that winning the BCS is icing on the cake.
And what happens if we lose to USC? No one thinks we can beat them anyways, what do we lose.
Fact is anyone who has taken the crap that Texas fan has taken and is now having the year we are having would feel pretty good and want to talk about it, Just like Texas fan.
blOwU fan likes to say, "Act like you have been there before", but in 2k they sure didn't act like they were here before.
