McCoy Trifecta
USC right now is in pretty good shape to sign 3 players this season with the last name of McCoy.
LeSean McCoy the #2 ranked TB in the nation visited USC on Oct 29th and listed USC has his #1 choice, his other visit was this last weekend to Va Tech.
Gerald McCoy the #2 ranked DT in the nation visited USC on Nov 5th and said now that he has seen USC play twice (another of his visits was to South Bend for the USC game) he thinks that USC is where he may be leaning towards.
Anthony McCoy the #12 ranked TE in the nation will visit USC on December 19th, he already lists USC as the school he would most like to go to.
Anthony McCoy is the only 4 star in the bunch and USC is high on the list of a 5 star TE named Konrad Reuland but with Dominique Byrd graduating this season and Fred Davis just learning the TE position, there is room at USC for both Reuland and McCoy, McCoy is also a OLB and at 6-4 and 240 could play OLB or DE after a few more years of maturing

That's what I've heard to, which makes it even more strange that Weis and ND slow played Marsh in favor of McCoy. I think the only thing that could help ND with McCoy is the fact that he's friends with George West (ND commit) and teammates with LaRon Moore (wants to commit to ND). That said, he's a Sooner.Believe the Heupel wrote:Gerald McCoy is going to stay in Oklahoma.

That is what I hear as well and I have a pretty good source at Southeast that tells me this.Believe the Heupel wrote:Gerald McCoy is going to stay in Oklahoma.
I'd love for you to get LeSean McCoy. Helps OU out with DeMarco Murray.
He likes to travel on other folks dime though and has been wearing an OU hat after school for the last couple of weeks.

This is probably the best class of atheletes in Oklahoma football in sometime that is why Bob is making the in state push again.Believe the Heupel wrote:Well, and I probably shouldn't have stated it quite that emphatically. I'd say he's an Oklahoma lean right now. Then again, we all thought that Robert Meachum was coming to Norman-even his mom thought so.
I'd love to get McCoy and Gresham, fo sho.
Bob's really putting the press on the in-state kids right now with the recent offers (and commitments) of Dominique Franks and Brandon Crow.

We have more WRs than we can put on the field now and they are pretty damn young with the lone exception of Wilson. We don't really need any other WRs if this kid from Missouri stays committed. As far as CB goes I have no clue what's going on there. Maybe the stff expects Wolfe to continue to develope and Walker's injury to heal up and get back in form.Killian wrote:Question for either of you: Why did OU pass on George West and LaRon Moore? Are they going after bigger WR/CB's?

On the offensive line part I think Ben Barressi is going o develope and develope big time. I am biased I admit but Ben is a GREAT kid and redshirting this year (needs a little more weight on his bones) but he was obviously proud to be a sooner and was an absolute riot before the orange Bowl last year when I got to talk to him for almost an hour.Believe the Heupel wrote:Commitments already from Maclin and Tennell. And as SCS said, we've already got a ton of talented WRs on the roster. OL is a much bigger need.Killian wrote:Question for either of you: Why did OU pass on George West and LaRon Moore?
