NFL Coming Back To L.A.
In a vague announcement Paul Tagliabue anounced the NFL is returning to L.A....sometime in the future at a site yet to be determined.
Living in L.A. I can say that this leaves me completely "Meh". I have enjoyed the NFL quite well watching on T.V. getting to see the Packers often or other very good games, good teams....when they play the Raiders. I have not been hankering for a team to come here, but it seems like it was inevitable.

It isnt that bad.The Assassin wrote:Are they going to implode the surrounding neighborhood around the Coliseum? They ought to if they expect people to go to games.
Its scary during the day, imagine going there for a Monday Night game!!!!
Cmon now, I used to go to the games when I was 16 for crying out loud. I was never once scared to do so.
I'd really enjoy having a team back up in the L.A. area again-the only game around here is the fucking chargettes who are a ongoing joke and hated by me.
I'd be dope as fuck catching my team down here twice a year (Hopefully) and make a 4 day weekend out of it when they hit my old hometown. NAILZ. Im getting fired up just thinking about that.

I for one didnt mind it,everyone around there I met was very cool, hell we used to kick it at the KFC across the street and get a big bucket of chicken and eat it during the games.Raydah James wrote:It isnt that bad.The Assassin wrote:Are they going to implode the surrounding neighborhood around the Coliseum? However the NFL is trying to get Mr.and Mrs well to do consumer to drive their expensive car into South Central for an NFL game. What would be sweet is they totally renovate the Coliseum and then put some money into rejuevinating the area. Make people wanna hang out in the area before and after games. I remember as a kid seeing a family of 4 scurrying like crazy to their minivan hoping noone had stolen or broken into it.
Good story for ya, we parked in a residential neighborhood for a game one year and this kid came up to us and said" Hey man for 10 bucks I'll watch your car". My dad goes alright kid here ya go.
We come back after the game and we see the car in front of us with broken windows stuff stolen out of it ransacked etc. We see the same kid and my pop asks,"what happened to that car?" "He didn't pay me 10 bucks".

It would be cool to be able to drive 5 hours to see an NFL game and then go have fun afterwards.

Fuckit, bring the hollywood park idea back into the forefront and make it happen. Fuck the colliseum, there will ALWAYS be crime in that bitch. ALWAYS.
I wish they had some sort of space in West L.A. for that shit-How fucking tight would that be to roll off from partying in Santa Monica to the game?
![Cool 8)](./images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)
Fuck Yeah.
If they're going to bring football back to L.A; they NEED to do this shit proper-like and come correct with some badass amenities that will make peeps WANT to check a game out. Kinda like the Staples center experience.....only in a GREAT neighborhood.

THAT was a great place to catch a game.....One of my uncles had season tix to the Rams and took me whenever I wanted to roll (Which was usually when my team wasnt in town and the rams were)mvscal wrote:So they're coming back to Orange County then?Raydah James wrote: Kinda like the Staples center experience.....only in a GREAT neighborhood.
FUCKING NAILZ over in Anahiem stadium! After tailgating before and after the game, Unc and his friends would roll us all over to a sports bar or restaurant within a few blocks.
Good times. RACK the Unc.

My one and only game I went to @ the Masoleum was a playoff game : Raiders vs. Pats .
Driving up to the the stadium was crazy . Dudes trying to jump in your car , dudes holding up huge green buds for sale , dudes jumping in front of your car trying to sell you a cheap homemade t-shirt ......
Parking was a bitch . Go around one corner " Parking for $15.00 " . Go down 2 more blocks " Parking for $10.00 " . Go down 2 more " Parking for $5.00 " BINGO . Parked on some dudes lawn .
Walked though a bunch of drunkos and sloths , fights , people smoking herb , vandals , etc.
Then we arrived at the gate , sat at our seats , and saw more of the above in the Staduim itself . Everywhere I looked , I saw police and Raiderfan tumbling down seats and stairways . There were more blows given in the stands then on the field .
Marcus Allen fumble : BALLGAME , PATS .
Armageddon ensues in the Masoluem .
While walking out thru a tunnel in the Stadium , this big , black dude bellows " WHERE'S THAT WHITE BOY AT . I'M GONNA KICK HIS ASS !! " .
We get back to the car , which is still in one piece , after walking thru the human sewer that surrounds the Masoleum .
And that was the last time I ever went to a game there .
Good fukkin' luck L.A.

I fucken laughed at you story Drummer-but this:
Somewhere along the line I forgot how fucking crazy those games used to be.
Yeah, the Mauloseum cant be the next L.A. teams destination......its gotta be somewhere tight as fuck and nice. A place where you could tailgate before and after the game with bitches and freinds around and not worry about dumb motherfuckers you have to beat ass on for being out of control.
FUCK, why do the Chargers of all fucking teams have to be HERE in San Diego? Seriously, this paradise deserves a million times better than that shitbag fuckup of an organization.
I'll give it up for the tailgates here in Queercom-Fine whores who want to party and are cool as all fuck.

Im thinking more along the lines of the L.A. Assblasters, since that is what they'll be doing to every team on the way to the championship.
How fucking great would that be for me to roll home and catch something I never thought possible again: A Raider game vs. the LA Team. In a great neighborhood.
NAILZ.

Nice loyalty there, dudfan.
The only question that remains is, when do you re-register?
Fuck, my heart isn't even in this...you have no idea the verbal abuse you have coming for jumping ship for a fucking team that doesn't exist yet.
Just sad.
Is it that hard for you KC inbred slingblade motherfuckers to comprehend something as simple as "I cant wait to see my team (The Raiders) play twice a year near me (Meaning whoever the fuck the L.A. Team is and the Chargettes)
You guys are the height of sheer idiocy.
Funny how Wags sucked Paul and JHawks cocks when they came back to rooting for the queefs after they turned over from rooting for the Rams and the fucking Giants.
I bleed Silver and Black-and my allegiance will always be to the Raiders. Period.
Bitch.

Oakland and San Fran aren't exactly filled with roses.m2 wrote:L.A. and Orange county are shitholes!

San Fran you can't go 1 block without a bum begging you for money.
Back to the subject, Anaheim should get a stadium before the Coliseum, much safer area and easy freeway access.

Whether or not L.A. has a team does not affect me in nay way. It sure seems to me they don't deserve one since they've previously lost two. But hey, what do I know.
The one thing that really gets under my skin about this is the NFL is ready to finance a $500 million stadium or stadium renovation. Here in Indiana we just finished spending the last 4 years trying to figure out how we we're going to finance a building to replace the RCA Dome and expand our convention center in the process. The NFL never offered a dime to help. But now, when there isn't even a concrete plan for a team to come out there, they already saying, "Hey L.A., here's $500 million. Build yourself a stadium."
WTF!?

LA told the NFL to go fuck itself when the NFL tried to get LA to build a new stadium. That's because LA knew the NFL needs it more than LA needs the NFL. Good luck having that happen in Indy.Rushville wrote:Whether or not L.A. has a team does not affect me in nay way. It sure seems to me they don't deserve one since they've previously lost two. Won't work and has never worked. Stadium construction is a failure as an economic development tool. It either requires a massive amount of additional public dollars or development was usually already happening before the stadium was built. What would be sweet is they totally renovate the Coliseum and then put some money into rejuevinating the area.

No luck needed. We got the deal done. We got a Democratic Mayor of Indianapolis to work with a Republican Governor of the state and brought the NCAA in to be a big part of it. Dog and cats were living together! MASS HYSTERIA!!!! But the deal is done and Indiana built it's own stadium.BSmack wrote:

If the NFL "needs" L.A. so bad, why did it allow the two previous departures to happen?

No place better in the old US of A, bitch.
SoCal fucking rules and everyone knows it!
If peeps don't think pro football is wanted in LA, look at USC. LA like everyone else needs a winner to command an audience. We got a title on loan from Oakland and that was it.
