If UCLA is the worst 1 loss team ever then 'Bama (along with maybe TCU a couple years ago) is the worst undefeated team ever...

3 points, against Mississippi State?? The absence of one wide reciever doesn't/shouldn't make that much of a difference to a team's "offense"...

Auburn had a legitimate beef last year. 'Bama won't have any beef this year, even if they manage to run the table in what is clearly a down year in the SEC. Obviously, 'Bama isn't on the same level with Texas or USC. In a Bowl Game situation maybe 'Bama could hold SC's offense down into the high thirties, but 'Bama would be hard pressed to score a single point on offense and they're not getting two defensive TD's against a good offense.

Hey, maybe after some of SC's scoring drives 'Bama could return some kicks for TD's?

So, fine, when all is said and done, let's just get to what everybody's been wanting all year anyway: USC vs Texas. Only obstacle left in either team's path is USC having to travel to Cal. (Call me crazy but somehow I just don't rate UCLA's defense's chances too very highly against USC's offense... :D )

Yep, everyoen in the top 10 sucks except USC.

Hmmmm....down year? That describes the Swiss-10 every year and are you going to mention the Big 1 conference? Someone find the other 11 teams.

T Rex, I've been saying all year long that the Big XII is the worst major conference so you're preaching to the choir...

I'm not saying everyone in the Top Ten but USC sucks but I am saying that 'Bama's offense sucks and the only reason they're undefeated is because the teams they keep playing also have pathetic offenses.

In a Bowl Game situation Texas would beat punchless 'Bama by at least twenty five and USC would beat 'Bama by whatever they felt like until they called off the dogs...

Pretty much suspect Miami would roll 'em too, as would Penn State and maybe even Oregon and Ohio State...

The funniest game would be UCLA vs 'Bama....

How could either squad succeed? How could either squad fail? It'd be the college football equivalent of an Escher painting.

As a BCS-hater, this current scenario right now does not bode well. I have a bad feeling it will end with just two unbeatens, USC and Texas. Alabama has a hellish road to the end of their season and that's without their best offensive weapon and they haven't exactly been blowing teams away like the Trojans and Longhorns have. They are bound to lose a game...no disrespect, TideFan. The only thing I can hope for is USC, Texas and Alabama all to lose a game or to have at least two of them lose. Leave one unbeaten and a large number of quality one-loss teams. I hate seeing teams get screwed over by this system but the only way we'll see a change is if there is another contraversy.
