Panthers OVER Steelers
Indy's grasp on home field will be lost come the 2nd half of the season.
The NFC is a pile of garbage but as long as CAR doesn't face Vick, they will cruise into the Super Bowl. If they have to see Vick and the ATL defense, I will be one nervous mofo. Vick has become more controllable as the games have passed so we'll see if they finally get a win over him real soon.
The AFC isn't exactly spectacular (with probably 1 or 2 championship caliber teams more than the NFC) and Indy's schedule (1/6 AFC opponents with a winning record) has been absolutely pathetic with the best teams they have faced being somewhat depleted. They are still good but I am not sold by any means and not riding the undefeated bandwagon. If they lose homefield and have to go to Pittsburgh, they will get shredded and James will be getting stuffed at the line. Indy's rushing defense is not what it needs to be to win a title.
The Steelers have a solid chance of running the table from here on out as long as Roth comes back for the Indy game. I am not sure how long he is out but Batch can't screw it up enough for this team not to win over Cleveland and Baltimore. I mean, he's not Anthony Wright, right? When PIT goes into Indy they'll know what's up and that game will be for homefield in the AFC. The only team I think PIT really needs to be concerned with come playoff time appears to be Denver but they should be hosting them. I think Denver will be able to run on PIT a bit better than most but good old Jake should rise to the occasion and go into choke mode and thow that 4th qtr pick that will get PIT over.
The Broncos have been putting down some solid defenses but I will take the run defense of PIT anyday, especially at home. I don't think the Broncos have enough to hold onto a homefield record with all the potential playoff teams on their schedule.
Come SB, CAR will not go there again only to lose. They will not face a team as good as NWE's championship teams and they can put the kind of pressure on Ben, in the big game that will force him into mistakes. I think both run games wll be strugging for yardage but PIT should get the edge unless Foster really finds his full speed stride and power. When the pressure is on and it really needs to fly, Jake will be connecting to Smith to validate his MVP status in the big one and Proehl will show his value yet again.
Fucking Panthers!

Your AFC predictions look good except you're missing a most likely participant - Jacksonville who is now 7-3 and has a cup cake schedule.

Skins won't make it. That loss yesterday sealed their fate. The Bucs win basically equates to a 2 game lead on the Skins for the wildcard. The Falcons? The Bucs own them and will ruin the Vick Experience again.
It's all moot as Indy looks pretty tough this year.

I don't believe in the Panthers yet, they have on ereciver and a marginal running game. Those will not hold up when they play the better teams in the playoffs. The only thing is, the NFC, they may be the best by default.
But my pick is:
Seahawks over the Broncos
But my pick is:
Seahawks over the Broncos

Um, Pittsburgh or did you miss that on page 432 of my novel?
Indy will end the year 14-2 and quite possibly 13-3.

All PIT needs to do is tie them and take the head to head match and Indy is playing in the snow. If they beat IND, they may even take em without the tie breaker.

Who exactly is going to QB those Steeler victories PISC?
Tommy Maddox?
Bwhaha.....
Even when Roethlisberger comes back theres no guareentee he'll be able to stay healthy on that gimpy knee, or that he'll even be ready for the Colt game.
Pittsburgh's only chance is to have big Ben healthy and peaking for that game. I have a hard time believing that will be the case with his ass in rehab for the next couple of weeks. Not to mention the Steeler’s will be lucky to beat the Ravens with Turnover Tommy at the helm next week.
Butkus didn't wear an earring.
uh, yea, that is my prediction. Hey, I said if Roth comes back in time for Indy, not even Batch or Maddox could fuck up CLE and BAL and so far I am half right. The defense is too good and the RB depth is solid with a great run blocking line. I don't like IND rush defense.
