Coach of the Year Frontrunners...?

T. Dungy wins it, of course, if the Clots manage to go 16-0.

I've got to hand it to the man that many Mule fans wanted shitcanned, Mike Shanahan.
Raise your hands, Mule 'faithful' who wanted to run him out of town.
Myself, I thought the Hee-Haw offseason was a joke, and I had the Donkeys pegged for LAST in the AFC West.
Truth is, Shanahan has done an OUTSTANDING job of making it all work.
If the Clots lose a game or two down the stretch it could very well be Rat's year to win coach of the year.
It would be well-deserved.

Terrific.

Lovie Smith...?
Could be.

Tom Coughlin, Marvin Lewis, John Fox, Jon Gruden, ....?
Still in the running.

I'll give it to Ratahan because he was basically laughed at for getting the Browns DL. The guy can flat out coach and his system works.

If you go by exceding expectations as to how your team would be playing.....

Nobody in their right mind is suprised by Indy, Denver or Seatle's Overall performance so far.

Except for Indy's defense, but they were expected to be in the chase for the lead anyway.

How many thought Da Bears would be where they are at?

No hand in the air here but we are missing one more hand, I’m sure he will throw it up in the air soon.
The only way I see Dungy getting it is if the Colts do go 16-0… too many weapons on that team.

I was wise enough to pick the Bears to win their division.
I'm on record on this board with that pick.

'Course I was also wise enough to pick the Raiduds and Jets to play in the AFC Championship.

I'm not surprised by the Bears.
I believed in their defense before the season began.
I also believed that in a down division, they could contend for it.

Lovie deserves love, but let's face it, the Bears have played a VERY soft schedule.
They have won 7 games and just ONE of those wins came against a team with a winning record.

Mike Tice: How the hell a coach can bring he team back from all this bullshit. The Randy Moss Trade, The Whizzinator, The Boat Trip, Loss of Matt Birk, Duante Culppeper, Keneche Udeze, Willie Offord, Steve Martin, Moe Williams. It seems like his players are fighting for him to keep his job.

Lovie Smith gets my vote . The Bears defense is nails so far , and they are winning without offensive firepower .

"Back" to what? One game over .500? There are fifteen other teams with at least as good a record as his, and he's probably not even going to make the playoffs.

But at least no one can accuse you of homerism.

Theisman is giving Jim Nance some serious competition for the annual "Cock-Sucking Ass-Kisser" of the year award. Right now, it's neck and neck so if Nance can just swing one more Green Bay game and the ensuing "Bret Favre coronation, he could lock it up....
