out fucking standing game last night to decide the MAC champ

Post by peter dragon »

hopefully you stayed up last night to watch Akron clinch its first ever bowl. How the hell did pitt let luke getsy get away? and RACK Domenik Hixon for the intestional fortitude, comming in and catching the final and game winning TD with :10 left on the clock. and the RB from NIU is amazing.. oh and rack desmond howard who at half time, said the NIU RB is so short, he could eat dinner off his head.. lol out freaking standing.

here's hoping the rest of the championship games are half as good as that one was.

Rack the MAC.

Getsy felt he didn't get a fair shake in the depth chart battle against Tyler Palko. He was roasted in PGH when he left for Akron...but it doesn't look like such a bad idea now.

That game turned out to be a beauty!

Akron, just another program benefitting from Gerry Faust's exit.

So did I, although in fairness, Faust is the guy who helped bring them to the 1-A level in the first place.

That book is fucking horrible. Check that, the book is a decent fast paced action thriller, but the amount of press it has been getting, and the fact the church has made public comments about the book is laughable.

Coming from a catholic, I understand why you might not like it. Dude has made $70 Million off that book. I have feeling it is decent.

Do you want to look at the number of platnium albums the Backstreet Boys, 'NSYNC, Britney Spears, and Jessica Simpson have as a guage to how good their music is?

Being Catholic has nothing to do with it. I wouldn't consider myself a member of any organized religion. It was just an awful book with every "twist" being seen from a mile away.

Well being that those shit boy/girl band CD's are bought by or for young teens I can understand why. I doubt those same age kids are buying and reading the Da Vinci Code.

Good call. I'm an idiot and started the conversation, so I'll bow out.

I'll leave that take for the Book forum.

As far as the game goes, they really should avoid having it at Ford Field. Drawiing less than a HS State Championship game is kinda sad.

The church needs to figure out that making a big deal out of something just gives it free publicity. How many fewer people would know about the DaVinci Code or The Satanic Verses if not for all the controversy?

Props to Akron on a big win. Frank has his work cut out for him at Ohio with yet another team asserting itself as a force in the MAC.
