I hang on and make the playoffs as the 4th seed. We play two rounds (2 weeks each) so losing this week doesn't mean elimination but it would put me behind the 8-ball. I face the first place team that I did beat during the regular season...mostly because he has Tomlinson and he just happened to be on a bye that week. Anyways, just need to get your advice on who should I start this week and next week...
Current starting lineup:
Week 14 & 15 opponents in ()
QB: B. Johnson (STL, PIT)
RB: C. Portis (@ ARZ, DAL)
RB/WR: D. Stallworth (@ ATL, CAR)
WR: T. Glenn (KC, @ WSH)
WR: J. Galloway (@ CAR, @ NE)
TE: T. Gonzalez (@ DAL, @ NYG)
D/ST: Carolina (TB, @ NO)
K: M. Vanderjagt (@ JAX, SD)
Bench:
QB E. Manning (@ PHI, KC)
RB F. Taylor (IND, SF)
RB J. Lewis (@ DEN, GB)
RB K. Barlow (@ SEA)
WR J. Horn (@ ATL, CAR)
WR L. Evans (NE, DEN)
WR E. Moulds (NE, DEN)
WR B. Lloyd (@ SEA, @ JAX)
I'm leaning towards starting Johnson this week and then go back to Eli next week. Unless Taylor gets healthy, I favor going with three WR with Portis. I picked up Evans off waivers this week but I'm not going to make an impulse move by starting just because of his performance last week.
FYI, my opponents' roster (he's loaded!)...
Starters:
QB: S. McNair
RB: L. Tomlinson
RB/WR: Ronnie Brown
WR: M. Harrison
WR: L. Fitzgerald
TE: R. McMichael
D/ST: Miami
K: J. Elam
Bench:
QB B. Favre
QB B. Roethlisberger
RB J. Jones
RB C. Brown
WR H. Ward
WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh
D/ST Atlanta
K J. Brown
Thoughts? (Other than the fact that I'm screwed )
Who to start? (Playoff edition)

I have the exact same QB dilemma as you. I am definitely going with Johnson against StL this week. Looking ahead. I think Eli at home in the following week.

As much as it hurts to say this- I wouldn't touch any of the Eagles fantasy wise except Akers and the Eagles D. All their recievers will suffer from lack of a QB and moats will be split with Gordon and Mahe against the 6th ranked rush defense.Sirfindafold wrote:Ryan Moats or TJ Duckett?
Go with Duckett if those are the only two choices
Yeah fuckers.... I'm back

You have a couple of hours as of this post..
Forget your opponent (you have no control of his team).
You don't have a BAD team but Glenn and Stallworth are your most questionable..
Check all your online sources (they are not always right but they have at least researched likelihoods). I like http://msn.foxsports.com/fantasy/weekly ... e=WR&wk=14
Check the waiver wire..
Of what you have
Put Lee Evans in for Stallworth is my only recommendation...
other than check the waiver wire for WR/RB
to replace Glenn and/or Stallworth

So, How did you do this week??
I hope you kept Glenn in! I didn't think he would do much.
You probably lost at QB, won at RB (good thing LT didn't have a good day)
it's close at WR but slight favor to your opponent, Defense- toss, Kicker - you won.
I did think Lee Evans was going to score on the Patriots weak secondary but this is December and the PAtriots get stingier as the weather gets colder!
Good Luck!

Apparently, I'm no longer in the playoffs. The team in 5th place had lost in Week 13 but now is credited with a tie and got the 4th spot over me. Last Monday morning, I was in the playoffs and I check today and see I'm in the consolation bracket. I'm not a happy guy right now.
As for how I'm doing. I would be ahead of my supposed playoff opponent. He switched McNair with Favre and Ronnie Brown with Chris Brown. Harrison was his top guy with 27 points. He finished with 65 points and trails his new opponent by 30 points...and this guy has Ryan Moats, Willie Parker, Cadillac Williams and Domanick Davis on his bench. He started Gado and Stephen Jackson as his running backs.
As for me, I'm sitting at 79 points. Johnson posted only 5 points compared to Manning with 16. Plus, with both Stallworth and Horn in action, I'm curious to see how much many points I cost myself by starting Taylor instead of Stallworth. My scoring leaders for the week are Glenn with 27, Portis with 17 and Vanderjagt with 16. Next week, since I'm no longer in the playoffs apparently, I'm going to start Manning and I'm definitely benching Taylor for a third receiver. For my consolation match, I take a 10 point lead into next week.
I'm hoping to get an explanation on what happened with last week. I'm not going to let this go until I find out how this guy got one more point to get the tie and bump me out of the playoffs.
