After that less than inspiring performance vs. the Gnats,
I'm sure your both counting on a huge turnaround vs. KC.
My question is, if you can't stop Tiki Barber and a Rookie QB,
How do you plan on stopping Larry Johnson and an offense that ran over a Denver team that you laid down against on Thanksgiving?
Sig and Av bets for both of you?

I'm in for Sig and AV bets, both.
The Cowboys D actually did a decent job yesterday. They made Manning look like shit and held the Giants "O" to 10 points. They also did a good job against the Donks "O" on T-Day. They also gave up a touchdown each game on offense, and in both cases that made all the difference in the world.
Keep the turn-overs down, and Dallas will beat KC. Mark my words.

Echo what HH said above. The Boys will need to keep their turnovers down, and the offensive playcalling has to be a bit more liberal. Runs up the middle did not work against the Broncos and Giants and most certainly won't work against this Chiefs defense. Terry Glenn and Patrick Crayton, yes I said Patrick Crayton, must have significant impacts in the passing game. If the Boys can get the Chiefs on their heels defensively, than we've all seen the end result - Chiefs loss.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Boys will have to get to Trint Green early. Knock him down a few times and he becomes Drew Bledsoe. Stopping Grandmama will be easy Scott and you know why? Scott Fujita.
Sorry, couldn't help myself with that one.
The Boys will lay it out on the line, because this is do or die for them. I expect the Boys to win, but like 10 of their 12 games, this one will be close.

I watched the Bengal Steeler game rather than the the Gnat Gurl snorefest, so only caught Tiki's breakaway on the highlight show.
Looking at the stats, It looks like Bleedso was less than stellar completing onlt 5 passes to his WR for 51 yds & 2 Ints. Toss in 4 sacks and it looks that Dallas air attack you two were yammering abot earlier this season has lost a wing.
On defense you let Tiki break off 115 yds. on 30 carries and I'll guarantee you Tiki is not near the back LJ is. The other glaring stat was only 1 sack for for the Stars, if you don't get some pressure on Trent Green, he will make you pay. I'll predict you see a lot of Play action passes as Dallas stacks the box to stop Johnson.
Not gonna happen.

The Boys don't need to STOP Larry Johnson Paul. They do need to contain him and I believe thats possible. Give him his 100 and a touch and knock the living piss out of Trint. I truly believe the Boys will have to create turnovers and work with a short field if they plan on beating the Queefs.
Oh and Paul, you are a fatfuck.
:D

I think we are looking at similar teams, in similar playoff situations headed in opposite directions.
The Cowboys, to be successful, must run the ball and stop the run. Their last game highlighted their problems stopping a small quick runner like Tiki Barber. How would they expect to stop a 230lb freight train like LJ?
DF dismisses this with "Give LJ his Hundy and a TD".
Dude, if you don't stop LJ, you'll just see more LJ.
After you stack 8 in the box to do this, Trent will burn you with the play action.
On Offense, it's obvious Julius and Marion just are not getting the yards. The Gnats rank # 6 against the run, But the Chiefs rank # 5 and just shut down the Doinks.
What's even more surprising, the Gnats rank # 26 against the pass but Bleedso only got off for 146 yds.?
The Chiefs are at full strength, except for Priest who isn't really needed now.
Your "boyz' have already lost Ngyuen and Flo Adams for the season.
Like I said, similar teams going in different directions.

All they need to do to stop LJ is put some grease on their jerseys to keep Tony Gonzales from getting a good gripDallasFanatic wrote:The Boys don't need to STOP Larry Johnson Paul. They do need to contain him and I believe thats possible.

Here's the deal CowGirlFan- you CAN'T stop Larry Johnson (then again, WHO CAN?), your QB is less mobile than the Eiffel Towel and will be teed off on by the likes of Jared Allen/Derrick Johnson/Sammy Knight/etc., and you won't be able to run on our defense. After the annual Mule BEATDOWN at Arrowhead, this one should go easier for us. I'll just go ahead and call it-
Chiefs- 31
CowGals- 17
So which is it, Ton's-o-fun?

I expect the Cowboys are getting a solid ass kicking from Parcells this week after two straight let downs.
You hate to pin a game on a single player, but I think this week-ends game falls on the shoulders of one fella. The swing man, if you will. Torrin Tucker, who's filling in for Flozell Adams. He's done a semi decent job, but what he's done is not allow the line to help out rookie Rob Petiti on a regular basis, as they're drifting their double coverage towards the direction of the play. This also serves as a tell to the defense. If Tucker can protect consistently, I expect to see a return of the passing game as well as the ground game.

Good luck with that.DallasFanatic wrote: On the defensive side of the ball, the Boys will have to get to Trint Green early. Knock him down a few times and he becomes Drew Bledsoe.
In the last 3 games (all victories, btw), Trent has enjoyed excellent protection and I don't believe he's been sacked once. Having a 100% healthy Willie Roaf guarding your back will do that for a QB.
Scott pretty much nailed it when he said that if you put 8 in the box to stop LJ (which is what you'd have to do), Trent will have a field day passing down field to wide open receivers.
Pick your poison, Cow-snatches. This veteran Chiefs team is on a serious roll right now and the goal is in sight.
As for Bleedslow, look for Warfield to get at least one pick as that statue hurriedly tries to get rid of the ball before getting laid out yet again by the Chiefs D-line.

In for any and all sig bets.
Decent thread thus far, sorry if my post kills it.
Dallas is a mediocre team that has the ability to play better than they really are, and win games that they should not.
KC is far and away a better team, but twice this season, they have found ways to lose games they should have won.
Im taking KC w/ my -4.

Dallas is a 'decent' team.
The thing is, in the NFL, to beat a 'decent' team at their home park you've got to play a 'clean' game.
KC didn't quite play clean enough.
Green's fumble play hurt a lot, and let's face it, the Chef defense gave up too many big-gainers.
Nice win for the 'boys, a real stinger for the Chefs.
You can mug BUT NOT hold him like that. That was the correct call. He was CLEARLY held.War Wagon wrote:Oh, and that holding call on 4th and goal was bullshit. You are allowed to mug the receiver with-in 5 yards. Fucking zebra waits until the play is completely over before tossing the flag.
I hate pointing at one bad call as a reason for losing, but that should've ended the game right there.
Guys, don't give up 450+ yards on defense and maybe you will actually go places. Your coach is so infatuated with offense that he forgets defense and well....you lose shootouts.
