Nice way to stay alert and on top of things before the title game. Robbery and assault. I wonder if they were able to fit in the 100m cop dash into the work out schedule.

I'd post some "cautionary" and "let's be fair" blah blab blah "allegations" statement....but since Vito spread every possible AD rumor in September (all the while decrying unsubstantiated info as beneath him....though starting more than one thread about it).....
so be it.
"Institutional Control" anyone......? :P

PRIMEX IS GETTING ANGRY!
AUSTIN -- Three Texas players, freshman running backs Michael Houston and Jerrell Wilkerson and sophomore defensive back Bobby Tatum, have left the team and will transfer, the school announced Friday.
All three were reserve players. Tatum played in eight games and recorded four tackles this season. Houston played in two games, rushing for 27 yards and three carries. Wilkerson redshirted this season.
The announcement did not say where the players would transfer.

A friend of mine was down the hall from Taylor's room in Jester on Wednesday night I think it was when he said police showed up... he thought he was being busted for smoking pot since apparently he lights up there all the time or something... guess it was much more serious than that...
Little more info(All at least second or third-hand info, mind you) - There were two separate incidents. One in September and one last weekend. From what I understood, the one in September(Involving a player no longer on the team...not sure who) involved a handgun and is much more serious. The one last weekend, while serious, is not quite as serious(No charges), but the players involved(I'm guessing Ramonce, Griffin, one more member of the defensive backfield) will not play in the Rose Bowl.

The alleged crimes were in SEPTEMBER, if they prove true, shame on Mack for sweeping it under the rug until now.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2263160AUSTIN, Texas -- Austin police say they are investigating two separate cases of assault and robbery in downtown Austin that involve members of the Texas athletic department.
The incidents occurred Sept. 4 and Dec. 10. No charges have been filed, and names of those being investigated have not been released.
Texas acknowledged the investigation Friday night, and athletic director DeLoss Dodds released the following statement:
"We were surprised by the APD release of allegations concerning one or more of our student-athletes. We have followed up on the rumors that we are hearing and spoken with the two student-athletes who are alleged to be under investigation. Within the limited time we had this evening, we have gathered as much information as possible. Based upon what we know at this time we have no reason to believe that the University or the athletic department need to take any action. We will continue to monitor the matter, and we will cooperate fully with those who are conducting the investigation."
Although Austin police and the University of Texas have not identified the individuals under investigation, attorney Ken Oden confirmed to ESPN's Joe Schad on Friday night that cornerback Cedric Griffin is one of the people being investigated.
"I have agreed to advise Cedric Griffin although no criminal charges have been filed against him. He is the subject of an investigation -- and I stress it is an investigation," Oden told Schad. "I believe no charges will be filed against him. They're saying this is assault and robbery, and it sounds hideous, but this is a trash-talking incident on the street involving Cedric and that's it. I know this is a big game and they're focused on it. But in fairness to Cedric, this was nothing more than a verbal incident in as much as it involves Cedric."
The No. 2 Longhorns are scheduled to play top-ranked Southern California in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 4 for the Bowl Championship Series title.
Griffin has been invited to the Senior Bowl, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Kevin Buchman, an Austin police spokesman, said his office issued its statement after receiving inquiries from the media. He said police would not release more information.

Ok here is the deal as I have heard it. Two incidents are being investigated. One is an assault and the other is a robbery. There are 4 names being tossed around, Ced Griffith who has gotten a lawyer, Romonce Taylor, and two others.
From what I understand Freshmen RB Michael Houston has been asked to leave the team. This is Mack's way of kicking someone off the team by giving them the opportunity to quit first. I'm hearing the most serious stuff involves him.
Jimmy Wilkerson leaving the team is all about personal issues. Same with Bobby Tatum. I'm sorry to see both these guys leave because from what I understand they are both badasses.
