I'll be surprised if he goes. While this might be seen as a "down" year by many, he's really built the program back up into a legit contender. His contract at Iowa was seemingly a career-maker...

No doubt. Shitload of coaches got canned today, but Ferentz will stay. Especially after today. I switched over to Auburn/Wisconsin.

Iowa came back and would have had the opportunity to take it into OT if not for inept officiating that called back a successful on-side kick.

With a fourth of the NFL looking for new coaches by the time all the firing is done I can see Ferentz getting a shot. Hard to say whether it is a good idea, you have a fair chance of being unemployed in a few years.

It was noted during the game that this was the last for his son and Ferentz will entertain offers from the NFL. With five jobs open now and more to come.....look for him to go. He has NFL experience.

i could see him going to St.louis and be the Lambs coach.

wouldn't be a major move from Iowa to St.Louis St.Louis already has their offense and players set(will get a good pick in draft). They need someone with a Defensive mindset to change that anemic joke of defense to one that can actually stop someone! wouldn;t be a bad move for him in my opinion.

And the scoop about Martz being undermined by Management is BS, he made his own bed with fucking horrible drafts, depleted depth, assanine attitude toward his peers in management, etc.

He's been mentioned for the Houston gig, and now Green Bay. Green Bay has got to be a tough one to pass on. If the pay him, he will come.

Essentially he has been coaching in the NFL. With all those draft choices this year that Iowa has.
