Listening to Musburger is torture.
Pain.

Btw, I've got a little while longer at work, before I'll be heading home, muting the TV and turning on the radio. The game's on a TV here, but it's on mute. Has Cuntsburger reiterated how this game is "for all the marbles" yet?

Wow.....Jackson over Musterberger? Yikes. Brent sucks.Rack Fu wrote:It's called the mute button.SoCalTrjn wrote:how much money extra would you be willing to pay to watch a game without announcers? only crowd and field noise with the only talking being from the refs and the PA?
For what it's worth, I'd listen to Musberger all day before I'd listen to Keith Jackson.

Danielson is a genius compared to Dan Fouts.

the best was when Quinn completed about a 20 yard pass and Brent chirped: "HERRRREE COOMMESSSSS BRADY QUINNNN!!!!!"RadioFan wrote:Cuntsburger: "Notre Dame, very much alive in this football game."

his dissertation on the Grand Canyon was also quite compelling. I think most Americans have heard of it, Brent.

I missed that one. Did he say something insightful, like it's in the same state as Tempe is -- you know -- Arizona? Or that it's a real natural wonder that is really, really worth seeing, if you get the chance?
Btw, get ready for the predictably lame "I don't know about you, but this has the makings of one of the greatest Fiesta Bowls we've ever seen, pardner!" if ND scores here.

Last Tostitos Fiesta Bowl in Tempe, pardner!Cross Traffic wrote:Heard 10 times how this is the LAST Fiesta Bowl in Tempe.
I'd seriously like to send him an e-mail asking, "Hey Brent, I'm confused. When the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl moves to the new Cardinals stadium, can I still get tickets to the Fiesta Bowl in Tempe?"
Ah, now Cuntsburger is going into his prognostications for next season.
And who'd have guessed he'd be talking about "television ratings on ABC," being "great" this year.
Good God.
Hopefully, he and Jim Nance can get on the same plane somewhere, crash in the Amazonian jungle, survive the crash, then be tortured, shot and eaten by cannibals.

No fukking way. I believe you cut legends a little slack. Chick Hearn used to blow calls all game long on Laker telecasts, but we tolerated them due to his longevity....
Musburger just suks period. Always sucked. Jackson did not always make mistakes = free pass

i suspect it's because NBC does Notre Dame games. as utterly sycophantic as that is. Pat Hayden did the Va Tech/Louisville game and i could have sworn that i heard him say ".......Jarious Jackson under center.....3rd and 6 for the IRISH.........handoff off tackle......(yelling) and that's a 2 yard gain for Autry Denson!!!!!"RadioFan wrote:You mean he was giving props to NBC? Damn, his brain was leaking tonight, even more than usual.
Btw, in a way I was glad to hear the predictably shallow, "We'd like to thank all those ..."
It pretty much confirms he won't be doing the Rose Bowl, thank God. :D
only marginally worse is Bob Davie's constant whining about getting fired at ND. 'sup Champs Bowl.
Free pass, my ass. Jackson is fucking terrible and should not be allowed anywhere near a broadcast booth. Put him out to pasture with Pat Summerall so those two old babbling fools can amuse themselves. The Seer wrote:Rack Fu wrote:

Autry, in his last 10 carries has, propelled Notre Dame -- just like he's trying to do now -- all year long! He's been their mainstay, Tom.
