You're claming bode over an Eagles team that is a mere shell of the team it was last year. One of those 8-man 2 way football teams you read about could beat the Eagles right now and the very fact that your team struggled so bad against them is proof that they suck. Everyone can see it but you. You're too f'n blind to see that after 6 turnovers against a virtual jv team you ONLY won by 11. I don't care what the 3rd stringers were playing for, the Skins were playing for a lot more and they came out flatter than Olive Oil's chest! The Eagles had Mike McMahon at QB. Do you know how bad he is? Andy Reid pulled him in the 4th quarter of a close game because he was tired of McMahon's act!
Stop drinking from the potomac, get off Danny Boy's cack and accept your team for what it is-which is an average, at best,10-6 team with confirmed tee times and locker cleanout 2 weeks.
The Giants aren't far behind.
translation "your team sux, but my team sux worse". nice.
i dont recall predicting a super bowl here, but it does not suck to have a 3 time super bowl winner hall of fame coach coaching your team in the playoffs. youre either too young or dumb to know anything about gibbs. its no coincidence the skins swept the boys for the first time in 10 years. its no coincidence the skins won 5 in a row to get where they are now.
it would suck, on the other hand, to look at an empty trophy case after being swept by the division and realize your team blew their shot.... 4 years in a row.

Jus sayin
Sore loser? Eagles have been out of playoff contention for a number of weeks now. All I'm doing is trying to make the myopic redskins fan in here realize their team isn't as good as they think it is.. certainly not enough to get to the Super Bowl.
My 7 month old daughter could have predicted a Redskins win yesterday but you'd think they just knocked off the same Eagles team that played in the Super Bowl last year. They didn't. And what's more they're playing blind to some very obvious holes in their team that will be exploited next week.
If that's playing the role of a sore loser than this place has become pussified.

nobodys gloating they beat your piss poor team. in case you were wondering, the thread is about the bucs game- not the philly game. your dumb ass decided to grace this thread with your whining.

right. the 'obvious holes' you pointed out are that the D sux.

Unless John Riggens and the Hogs were able to find the fountain of youth Joe Gibbs will never sniff another SB as a coach in his lifetime. I like Joe. Good coach, good man. It's a shame he went to Washington.

I thought it was the defense that carried them into the playoffs? Isn't Greg Williams the one whose being mentioned for head coach vacancies?

It's gonna suck for you even worse next year when the Eagles return to the top of the NFC after having 2/3 of their team recover from injuries. Forget the playoffs next year. I guess I can see Redskin fans are hoping for a SB appearance this year.
see you next year.
Have we ever met? If not I'll buy you a beer (no I won't throw mine at you).

Bwhaha now who's myopic?
The Eagles run is over. They need a new offensive line so they can run the ball instead of having NcNabb getting his head kicked in because he has to carry the team every play. Oh a few Wr's wouldn't hurt either.
The NFC East is one of the toughest divisons with 4 very good HC's. And everybody has caught up to Reid's shitty west coast offense. Philly will be lucky to get a WC next year.
Jim stock up on more beer to throw on opposing fans, because that's all you can look forward to.

Just don't throw any on Portis' mom.
It doesn't hurt to be at least $8-$10 mil under the cap to address those needs does it Joe? McNabb was playing hurt from week 1 when he took a helmet to the chest hit. He wasn't the same after that. TO will be gone and hopefully the Eagles will be in the front of the line waiting for Reggie Wayne (whom the should have drafted instead of Freddie Mitchell in the first place). I actually think the O line isn't as bad as you think. It wasn't the O line that prevented the Eagles from running the ball it was the play calling. Once that changed you saw the Eagles show the ability to run the ball, escpecially with Moats. The D line is what needs help. I was totally wrong about Burgess (did you see that Raider fan?). While I can understand the Eagles not matching the offer it turned out to be a great deal for the Raiders. Trent Cole showed flashes of being like Burgess. I think Kearse has 1 year of a double digit sack year left in him. He still fast has hell, even if he lost a step.. I compare him losing a step to Darrell Green losing a step.. he was still the fastest player on the field.
If the Eagles suck NEXT year I'll agree their run is over but I chalk this year up to a number of issues mainly injuries. I don't think any team lost as many key players as the Eagles did. TO was clearly a distraction and I blame that on the Eagles for letting it get out of hand.
It'll be an interesting free agency and draft but the Eagles have shown to be players in the f/a market over the past few years so I don't expect any less.

Yep, don't waste beer, when the preferred and recognized official Philly fan toss item is a used D batter.
Carolina is easily better than anyone in the NFC east. .
So thats why Dallas went into Carolina and won.. :P
Jimbo,
Just give the Skins their props they had a good run at the end and did what they had to do to get in. I acknowledge the absolute ASS kicking they put on the Boys..
You're just pissed becuz the Eagles window of opportunity (aka the last 4 years) has come and gone...and they choked. Thats what loser franchises do..and its what Philly fan deserves.
maverick. maverick. maverick. 8 yrs of Bush. 8 yrs of Bush. 8 yrs of Bush.
I also look at playoff experience......the Bucs have a lot on both sides of the ball. Many of these guys were here for the SB and know what it takes on that next level. Skins?
Bucs have a lot of intangibles going for them......the skins don't besides some revenge voodoo doll bullshit.......

great observation.
as far as playoff experience at the 2 most critical positions, brunell > simms and gibbs > gruden.

Gibbs hasn't done shit this century. Fucking tard.
Dust off those trophies...........fucking idiot tards in here.
idiot- gibbs is in the HALL OF freaking FAME.
yes, he is better than gruden (who won with dungy players and has done dick since) every day of the week. gruden doesnt deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence at gibbs, except when its noted that gibbs first victory 'this century' was at grudens and tampas expense.

Rack the fuck outa Dallas Peeps!
Thanks for stepping up M-Necky and DF. I'm not predicting a SB BUT, It's nice to be playing right now. Everyone has a chance that's in the playoffs. Could be injuries, good be hot or cold streaks.....you just never know. Everyone we have played...except the Giants in the first match-up, has been a close game. That's something to be giddy about, IMHO.

"Most people believe the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' defense is back to its old form. Defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin's group finished the regular season ranked No. 1 in overall defense and No. 6 in rushing defense, but a closer look shows that this unit has some significant issues.
The Buccaneers are allowing only 95 rushing yards per game, but there was a clear shift in their defensive performance after their Week 7 bye. In the six games preceding the bye, Tampa allowed only 62 rushing yards per game. A big part of this had to do with the competition, as Tampa didn't face a 2005 playoff team in those first six weeks. Over the course of the next 10 weeks, the Bucs allowed 113 rushing yards per game, a figure that would have ranked 18th in the league.
It isn't just the overall yardage in these last 10 games that is disturbing. The Buccaneers allowed more than 140 yards in four of the games, and two of the sub 100-yard rushing games during this stretch came against the exhausted and injury-depleted New Orleans Saints."
looks like espn agrees with me. the bucs are, indeed, a fraud.
If the Skins do win this one, it should be enough to carry us into the Superbowl....as long as we still have Brunell starting each game.
Nice back peddle. Seems like as the game gets closeR you get less and less confident in your team. First you say you'll make the playoffs with a win over TB and now you're just happy to be in the playoffs?
What happened in 2 days that suddently made you change your mind?

Stick to the Chiefs Paul.....I will preface this with the fact that I always have liked and respected Dungy and what he did here, and was quite angry with how his firing was handled. That said Dungy should have won the big game at least once here before Gruden arrived on the scene. It was certainly Dungy's AND Kiffon's defense that helped win the Superbowl, but it was Gruden's offense that put the Bucs over the top, so please save this horrible take I hear over and over from the Gruden bashers that this was exclusively Dungy's team running on cruise control the Superbowl season.
And yup the Bucs lost to the Niners and Jets, but they also beat a couple of playoff bound teams in that same stretch. If I recall correctly after Simms lost his first start to the Niners you came in cackling about how the Bucs season was OVAH, or something to that effect. 11-5, a division champion and now a home playoff game awaits..hmm.... With most folks predicting a last place finish in the division, and a sub .500 record for the Bucs at the beginning of the season, not to mention losing the starting QB 1/2 way through the season, I think Gruden has done a superb job with this very young team. Regardless of the outcome of these playoffs I am very excited about the future here brutha....

They fared well against New England. What was the score of that game?
Be sure that Shawn Springs will give the same locker room speech he gave before we played the Rams: "We won't let some rookie from Harvard beat us!"
Mike Alstott takes about a half an hour to get the ball and do whatever he does. How the refs stood there with their thumbs up their asses in the last game and waited for whatever reason they could get to make an incorrect call, I'll never know.
What screws you guys tomorrow is that Joe Gibbs is 16-5 in the playoffs and we have Sean Taylor and Phillip Daniels on hand, two players we didn't have the last time we played you. The Bucs' running game has regressed, and ours has improved drastically. So has our offensive line, even withour Randy Thomas. Rest assured that Joe Bugel has bulletin boarded Simeon Rice's "I'm the best d-Lineman in the league" comments this week. Our line has allowed just 3 sacks in the last 4 games. You're fucked, Simeon.
