You've been nothing but class, albeit with a severe case of myopic homerism and diarhea of the mouth.
Despite that, I salute you, sir.
Nothing but class all the way.

WW, I'm genuinely surprised at some of what happened tonight.
Not so much by a lot of what Texas did, but by some of what USC did.
Definitely though I have to admit that I was dead wrong about VY making the key mistakes that would kill Texas. He fumbled once (which Texas AGAIN recovered...fuck!!! :-) ) but overall his play was flat out exemplary.
He managed the game beautifully.
What really surprised me, above and beyond that, were all the brain farts by USC. They really made a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes. I really didn't expect to see USC get outcoached and I really didn't expect Texas to play with more poise throughout the ballgame.
Texas had all the reason in the world to roll over and play dead but they kept their pose and in the end it was USC who made the killer mistakes, not Texas.
In what was basically a dead nuts even game USC did what I thought Texas would do: Blow it, through mental erros.
One good thing here though. I feel about how I thought I'd feel if USC lost, ie, I'm not that upset. I'm still just mostly thankful for the great run we've had, knowing it was going to end sooner or later.
I thought it'd last one game longer but we just couldn't quite finish 'em off and get it done so oh well, this is what we have to take as USC fans.
Not bad, not too bad at all. As bitter pills go this one's not too hard to swallow...

Just sayin' I'm at least glad for what I received and I'm glad I at least don't have to live with a total asskicking.
I can accept this, is all. I'd really be in the dumper if USC would've gotten shithammered. That would've been shattering. I can hang with this, at least a little. This one hurts, sure, but it at least leaves me feeling like so many fans of losing teams in great games have felt...
Pick your cliche:
-We didn't lose, we just ran out of time.
-We're still the better team but we didn't quite play better today....
-We're still better than (the majority) you...
In other words, all the usual empty, shallow bullshit. The mental liferaft stuff that's denied to the fan of the team that goes down 45-3...
