Cowher kisses Officials A*S

Post by 4 king guy »

Cowher knows he is still in the playoffs....

Cowher not only refused to criticize the officials for reversing upon review a possible game-clinching interception by Steelers safety Troy Polamalu against the Colts - the NFL later said the reversal was wrong - he gave them a vote of confidence on Tuesday.

"Our officials are doing the very best that they can do. Obviously, at times, there's going to be mistakes made," Cowher said. "To me, those guys are human like the rest of us, and we're moving on."

Cowher also dismissed linebacker Joey Porter's angry comments that the officials were determined to get Indianapolis into the AFC championship game, calling them "ridiculous."

Any Steelers fan knows that when you see that look on Cowher's face, you best grab the face guard before you take a facefull of phlegm.

Cowher knows where his bread is buttered.

I'm sure he and the league would be on verrah friendly terms if Indy had come back to win that game after Polamalu's game-sealing INT was overruled.

Holy frickin' crap, all hell would break loose.

Cowher is playing it smart. Wont get him anywhere by calling out the refs. I think the officials are going to be very forthcoming to the Steelers on Sunday.

Enough of this talk, and the incessant attention to it. Sunday can't get here soon enough.

...Cowher can take this position because Joey Porter already said what HAD to be said. Props to Porter for taking the heat off his coach. Polamalu is emerging as the darling of the masses, and the Stillers O and D are both rounding into peak form.

I'm now picking Pittsburgh to topple the Rat and capture the Ring. Sorry Jimmy, that's the way I see it.

There's no bigger playoff stiffs than Dungy/Manning. I wasn't surprised Pittsburgh won...

But.

There's no way the Steelers go into Denver and win... as history has repeatedly proven itself, this is the round where Cowher chokes.

All smack aside, can you provide an actual breakdown of the two teams in question? Or is relying on fragmented bits of ancient history just a gambler's way of looking at football? Because looking back on Neil O'Donnell and Kordell Stewart's post Steelers performances tells me that maybe Cowher was the one coach able to maximize their talents.

Sure.

Cowher is incapable of coming up with a good game plan against a top-notch coach. I don't care how good the match-ups seem to you. Break it down player by player if you wish, I could give two shits. Dude will get out coached... again.

Even if the Steelers are close at the end... who cares? The refs will give the game to the Donks. The league has a way of fucking over the Steelers.

You are Schlitz beer drinking, long sleeved Rocky Bleier T-shirt wearing, Camel smoking, blue-collared loser. You are a football dork of the highest caliber and you fuck your Big Ben blow up doll in the arse on an hourly basis. You wouldn't know an unbiased opinion if Franco Harris told it to you while he running out of bounds to extend his slightly above average career. The Seahawks?? Pussy. You think Terry Bradshaw was robbed of an Oscar for his performance in Hooper. Go fuck yourself.

Just admit you don't know what you're talking about and it will all be good.

Cowher could maximize their talents...in the regular season.

UCant has a point, Cowher gets outcoached against the elite teams in the big games, and his regular season and postseason records would indicate that.

He's probably one of the most successful head coaches in regular season history, he's been in the league for a decade and a half and yet he's lost 4 AFC Championships at home and has never won a Super Bowl. Coincidence?

To get back on topic...

Cowher is a pussy.

It is inexcusable for him to kiss the official's ass at the expense of his players' integrity.

In fact, he betrayed his own players by doing that, because let's face it...they DID get jammed and the coach doesn't have their back. The fact he called Porter "ridiculous" is a slap in the face to Porter and every teammate in that locker room that Porter was speaking for.

All this crap about Cowher playing his cards right to get good calls vs. Denver is bullshit because chances are, if Cowher hadn't commented on the blown call in the first place and just let the issue die, the refs would be very appreciative anyway. But no, Cowher had to open his mouth and go a step further by squelching the voice of his players.

It could backfire Sunday at 5,280 feet.

It looks like the NFL is admitting it made a mistake and WON'T fine Joey Porter for his comments on the refs.

"Rack" the NFL and Porter!

That was very classy by the league.
