I'm saying the the official fucked up the mechanics on the call. I don't know, and am not assuming, why he called it a touchdown but think it's possible that he thought he could make the call and that replay would correct the mistake if he was wrong. I don't know what he saw, or thought he saw, and would "assume" anything. I just through that out as a possibility because officials now have to refrain from blowing their whistles and officiating the way they were originally taught simply so that the play can be reviewed. I think that's a horrible way to have any game officiated but it's a necessity if they use replay.

As for the PI call? It was a good call because the receiver gained separation from the push. He gained an advantage, douchebag, and only an ignorant cunt would fail to recognize that.....or maybe someone who has no clue when it comes to the enforcement of the rules. If being a "stickler" when they see an obvious PI is what you mean then, yes, by all means, they should be "sticklers"....especially when the receiver is gaining a clear advantage to catch a TD pass. Same with being a "stickler" about holding when it has an effect on the play.....like the one that was called when the OL was holding a pass rusher before he got to the QB.
