Remember when I said Jamal Lewis was overrated?

Post by BSmack »

Ozzie Newsome confirmed what I told you all in September by not even bothering to slap a franchise tag on Lewis.

Premature, fool. You haven't called shit yet.

They said Favre was done around 98 and 99 when smak chat was still around.

They said your own Bus was done years and YEARS ago.

One bad year doesn't mean dick. You should know, on the flip side, Steelerfan was ready to put Stewart, Maddox and Burress in The Hall.

Besides that, calling a guy over rated because his body may be breaking down or he is flat out losing it in his head or heart is one thing. Your dumbass is in hear saying he is over rated after carrying his offense to a championship and then soon after rushing for over 2000 yards. I know you're so desperate to have something to prop yourself about but you're still way fucking off dude. No surprises here. Where are you supposed to rate a guy after what he accomplished? How do you think his off season workouts were last year? You think they should tag a guy after a year like that when it is probably unnecessary?

If they don't want him maybe Carolina can get him cheap since they can not afford Alexander or James. The old banged up Davis was still good for a year and I'd bet Jamal has a few more than that on him. With a line like Carolina's and Jake and Steve going at it, I woudln't be surprised to see him be quite productive agaion.

A fan of the team with The Bus should have a better perception on this one but afterall we are talking about you.

Nothing to see here.

Guess the prison sex took alot out of him.

Seriously I think Lewis has some good years left in him. Remember for a long time he WAS the Raven offense. Get him in a system where he wont be relied on to carry 35 times a game he can thrive. If I'm the Denver Broncos I'm showing interest in Lewis. That would be the perfect spot for him.

Denver should grab him, seriously. I've watched Jamal and the Ravens as much as any other non-Denver team and while he was overrated these past 2 years, 3 years ago he was in a class of his own as a runner. Nobody in the NFL right now combines the speed and power of Jamal Lewis when he's at his best. LaDanian is a better "all around" back, but for a pure runner, no defense wants to fuck with a 240 lb. running back that runs a 4.4 forty. Jamal's ankle still wasn't 100% last year, it goes beyond just his prison time. His pussy footing style of running also caught up with him when his OL went bad.

The hell I didn't.

Back when Dumbasses throughout football were pimping Jamal Lewis as one of the best backs in the league, back when Jamal Lewis was going in the late 1st/early second round of almost every FFL draft known to man, I was telling you fools that he was a bust waiting to happen.

Funny thing is, now that the Ravens appear ready to kick him to the curb, he might well be UNDERRATED going into next year.

Please do try to remember that under and over rated are relative terms. Can you manage that?

Jamal's line didn't help him much last year either. They were awful.

When Dumbass was "pimping" it was before he went off for 2000 yards and stating B-More made the right decision keeping him over Priest. They still have.

Yea, that 3.4 yds per carry last year is so pwnding me.

I'm specificly refering to this post of yours
I guess, Dickerson, Sanders and Payton suck too. Yea fuckface, those are the names this YOUNG running back is associated with and this "over rated" RB got Trent Dilfer, Qadry Ismail and Brandon Stokley rings which is much more than I can say for your OVER RATED rookie who ate shit when it mattered but then again, your boys are used to eating shit in the post season these days so it's nothing new to you anyway.

Give it a couple years and you bitches will start crying for another change, dipshit. I mean, you fags do that every year too, sometimes just weeks after splooging on yourselves because you THOUGHT you had all the pieces in place...AGAIN. Every year it's someone else that needs to go isn't it?

If Jamal Lewis was a free agent, half you fags and your mothers would be calling the local radio saying your GM should sign his ass and you fucking know it. He's better than anything you got on offense and I mean ANYTHING.

Yea, I will. See me when this one is actually over before calling a premature victory. I know you are use to ending it premature....

Your convenient results following an unusual off season are typical coming from such a front runner.

Looks to me like overall, the consensus is that there should be a lot of interest in him. How you are missing that is not surprising.

Do you add your prediction threads to your favorites or something? It comes as no surprise to anyone that a Steeler fan is calling a Ravens player overrated.

QBs who have at least 1 good receiver are generally regarded as good qbs.
RBs who have good offensive lines generally are regarded as good rbs.

Lewis is in his 6th year in the league. So far he has two good years, ONE great year and has followed that great year up with two totaly underwhelming campaigns. No, this debate is over. No matter what Lewis ever does (and it is by no means certain that he will ever be a feature back again) Jamal Lewis will NEVER be compared by sane people to Walter Payton, Eric Dickerson or Barry Sanders.

Running behind the same offensive line as Jamal Lewis, Chester Taylor averaged nearly a yard a carry more than Lewis.

Actually dickhead if you actually bothered to look into Taylor' stats you'd see that yards/carrier is greatly inflated by a 52 yard run against Cleveland. Considering he only ran the ball 117 times last year you might as well throw that 52 yarder out to get his true stats:

15 games played
1 game started
116 carries
435 yards
3.75

Not exactly stellar numbers for Taylor either and a hell of a lot closer to Lewis' numbers.
Jamal might be slowing down but he's far from overrated. Put him behind that Seattle or Pittsburgh line and he'd be hitting 1600 every year.

BTW-Baltimore qb's were sacked a combined 42 times. That ranks Baltimore as one of the 5 worst teams in sacks allowed.

Make no mistake, Taylor was a much better running back than Jamal Lewis last year.

If you're going to take away Taylor's longest run, you should also take away Jamal's, THEN run the numbers. It's only fair.

In all fairness, BitchSmacked is right about Jamal tapering off the last 2 years. It doesn't change the fact he could still make a full recovery from ankle surgery and return to elite back status though.

Sorry not over, you want it to be so badly to put your flag in it but no. I don't think so. Also where does it state that Lewis is the best running back of all time or something? Learn how to read. On rereading it, I stated that this man was associated with these great runners in reference to his accomplishments and where they stack in the NFL history. It points out how this running back is deserved of being discussed with these based on his accomplishments and he does. He is not over rated. There are plenty of players who's "rating" as a player is rarely questioned even when the longevity of their numbers is short lived.

His numbers aren't finished chode. Have fun claiming your victory though. You're incapable of seeing things straight that have concrete proof and are not even open to opinionated discusssion so what is the point? :meds:
