Bullshit. There are posters here who are the backbone of these Rome spin off boards. The consistent quality of their posts keeps people coming back. Their contributions are the lifeblood of this place and they mean everything here.
Indy cannot be numbered among those posters. In any listing of the Best Posters or whatever he's never merited a mention, and such lists run the gamut from one liner artists like Python to story tellers like Filthy and Catfish to glorious freaks of nature like Moorese to versatile funnymen like Euro.
Aside from his unfortunate decision to sink his shit into NoCal and his even more unfortunate decision to take part in airing all that crap on these boards Indy's been nearly invisible despite many years of participation.
His sole contribution to these boards was the egregious fact of nailing NoCal, and then getting taken by her.
Great. Quality stuff there. We all were the better for it.

It's a message board. Offering up entertaining posts here is his
only role, as far as my interest in him is concerned.
How is it smack, one way or the other? You enjoy what you enjoy, you don't what you don't, and it makes no nevermind either way.
I couldn't care less about "smack". The rampant desire to gratuitously "smack" is the most overrated and ignoble reason for posting. It usually brings about nothing but rehashed and obviously forced tripe.
The best posters here barely even bother with "smack" anymore. They just post good stuff and sometimes smack gets bandied about but it's not crucial to their overall effectiveness.
Gunslinger is old school. He's been here forever, and has contributed forever. He's been funny. He's been lame. He's been scary. He's been too cool for words. He's been informative. He's even been a dumbfuck sometimes.
Take away the NoCal and Russ debacle and he's been invisible. At best he's been a leaky faucet, roaming around on the mental periphery, agitating, agitating, but never enough as to fully enter your consciousness to the point that you decide to get up and go take a wrench to him.
You -- or anyone else -- not agreeing with his takes does not in anyway equate to his not contributing to these boards, plural, past, present and future. You just don't agree with him. And that's supposed to be ok.
