Not on a decent bike with a decent driver it's not.
It's 25 minutes in a "Van" from Ocean Beach on 1.

That's actually the Mavericks outside of San Fran. The waves get like that once a year and is the 3rd highest in the world. Probblem is, you half to paddle 1/2 mile out and of course it's shark infested waters.

Coincidently, a guy at work just should me pictures of this very spot tonight at work in his surf magazine. Pretty wild.

What? posting pics of "Giant Sequoia's" which mainly grow in the Sierra's, yet I have 2 in my backyard?

You fucked up... but you dont have the balls to admit it.

I already know that about you.

Suprise me.

Oh yeeeeaaaahhhhhhh?

I'll bet the sequoia in MY back yard is bigger than the sequoia in YOUR backyard.

Not that giant sequoias are indiginous, but they sure seem to like it here. Unlike in cali, the sequoias put on a huge growth spurt in the long days of summer, and the top looks like it was put in a pencil-sharpener. Crazy shit, man.

I played Eastmoreland Golf Course this afternoon...some big muddafuggin sequoias out there. Not quite like Sequoia National Park or anything, but pretty freaking big.

I personally planted three Giant Sequoia saplings in my front yard too (the two tallest ones have already grown to somewhere around forty feet) but that still doesn't entitle me to say I live in the Muir Woods, which definitely aren't located in my city.

:-)

Also, people who live in Half Moon Bay would likely stab you in the neck if you tried to tell them they live in The City. Half Moon Bay is an entirely different municipality and an entirely different kind of world than San Francisco. They'd feel more of a kinship with Santa Cruz than with SF...

It'd be like someone from Santa Monica agreeing that he lives in the same city as a guy who lives in Pacoima. Ain't gonna happen. Hell, even in that example both guys at least live in L.A. County. Half Moon Bay and SF are in two different counties!

No, as beautiful as SF is m2 doesn't get to claim for her Mavericks, the Muir Woods, Yosemite, etc...

Yes and no.

I have a place in "The City" as I've mentioned many times at California and Arguello, and I'm at my girl's place in Terra Linda as I type.

It's about 15 minutes away.

You people really need to see our Little Vietnam on Stockton Bl. You'll long for war, and then you'll have this curious desire to supp upon yourself.

And for every bulldyke in SF, there's two cowboy hats in Sac, and possibly a matching belt buckle.

BODE Frisco.

Wrong city, Dins.

No cowboy hats. No dinner plate belt buckles. We're Sacramento, not Arbuckle. You'll find more cowboy hats and big ass belt buckles on any given night in San Francisco ("Brokedick Mountain" night at Club Felch & Network) than you'll ever see in a lifetime living in Sacramento.

Just as San Francisco really isn't Big Waves and Tall Trees so follows this misconception that Sacramento is a buncha farmland and 'necks a humpin'. Twenty miles to the north or south, sure. Here in Sacramento though the only cowbells you'll ever really see are those that magically appear when Phil Jackson is in town.

What we do have are loads of sideways facing baseball caps, piercings aplenty, baggy pants worn below your ass and blinged out Icy Hot Acura Integras.

We've also got more than a few SUVs sporting Sacramento Kings bumper stickers, driven by aerobicized soccer whores.

No cowboy hats. With the pants being worn where they are any belt buckles worn around here would be so low that everybody would look like Dorf On Crank...

San Fagcisco use to be an awsome place about 20-30 years ago. That was before the miscreants took over and ruined it. Now, if you can get past the piss and shit smell, there are some pretty cool places.

But alass, I won't step foot in that shit hole if I can help it.

Oh, my bad.

I was talking about the Sacramento California that's near where I5 and I80 meet. The one where every time I stop there, I end up saying to myself "Damn...the redneck factor here is quite high. Buncha wannabe cowboys sporting hats and buckles." Usually before too long, some hottie comes by and makes me forget all about the drooling inbreds of the Greater Sacramento Area.

But we must be talking about a different Sacramento, California. Obviously.

Hate to be the one to introduce you to reality Van, but to anyone who doesn't live in Sac, or work there for the state, Sacramento IS a big truck stop for the rest of the world.

Hate to shatter your delusions, but if it weren't the state capital, I'm quite sure they'd pass a law outlawing any vehicle that isn't sporting Yosemite Sam "Back Off" mudflaps.

Of course you won't. You live in Sacramento...voluntarily. You're head is buried so far in the sand, you don't have the mental capacity that would allow you to be offended by such things.

I'll take chicks in bikinis and high heels everyday over granola eating sasquatch wenches in denin cutoffs that have never used a razor in their lives.
