Yea, we'll see.
Plays with NOBODY and is in the WESTERN Conference playoffs.
Wait until he gets his Steve Kerr, Rodman, Kukoc, Pippen, Grant etc. He plays with apparent garbage for the most part but they'll get better too if they stay together (we should all be recognizing that right now).

For the record, if you want someone to compare the rapist to, look no further than the AIDS victim.
If I remember correctly, he scored his playoff best in 1990 (against the Suns) the year after Kareem retired. In a series they lost 4-1. Never won another ring without the Big Guy around to make him look good.
Have a nice day.

I know you didnt just say Magic wasnt shit without Kareem. You do remember Magic's rookie year when he carried the Lakers to the title dont ya? Wasn't that Magic playing center in the title winning game in Philly when Kareem was hurt? BTW how many rings have the Scums won? Huh?what? Then how bout you keep your fuckin trap shut. You just proved that you know jack shit about both Magic Johnson AND hoops.

One game in his rookie year playing center isnt just winning "one game".
According to your logic Magic wasn't shit without Kareem. Which just makes you look like a moron. This isn't 70s Kareem we are talking about BTW. Kareem was well past his prime during the Showtime years and Magic STILL was able to bring out the best in him.
with Vlade fukkin Divac he got them to the Finals, Magic made players around him better want an even better example? Kurt Rambis. Rambis wouldn't of made a CBA team let alone the Lakers. But Magic found a way to get him involved and made him a better player than he was. Jordan could do that Bird did that and Isiah did that. And if were talking about one game, sad that the only thing the Suns seem to be proud of is that triple OT game they LOST against Boston back in the 70s.

You seem to think that going from point forward to center was some kind of stellar accomplishment instead of a one game gimmick born out of nessecity. No, he wasn't shit without Kareem, he always was what The Rapist is, a 'me first' type of guy who couldn't do shit without the likes of Kareem, Worthy and Cooper to carry him and let him take the credit.
The post-Kareem record speaks for itself, and Bryant's post Shaq record is going to do the same.
Deal with it.

For the record, not only do neither of the headcases in question deserve to be considered as one of the best of all time-they aren't even in the top five Lakers of all time.
I'd take West, Goodrich, Baylor, Kareem or Wilt and Worthy for a all time Lakers team.
Okay, they're not in the top six.

He played 2 years without Kareem you dope! And one of those years he made it to the finals with young vlade as center.
and when he returned to play he should not have as he was way too old.
Hes not in the top 5 Lakers? you just proved once again you are a dumb ass and have no business discussing basketball let alone Laker basketball.
and you wanna talk headcases? Charles Barkley much? Can you find anyone who will vouch that he was a great and unselfish teammate? He burnt bridges on every team he played for.

That's classy, rip a dude for having AIDS that regretfully did what a LARGE percentage of them do. What a LARGE percentage of us would do with that fame and fortune. So, maybe some would put something on but still, men can not hoist the flag of commitment all that well when Playboy centerfold quality pussy is on your face.
How did Kareem do when Magic and Worthy went down against Detroit you dumbfuck?
Yea, Magic sure had a lot of time to adjust without Kareem. Oh, yea, took him one whole year to return to The Finals. Had he had some fucking support from his colleagues (LEAGUE WIDE), he may not have had to leave the game and had he not, sorry but MJ does not win 6 rings fuckface. You do not know DICK and what Magic bought to a team. It's amazing you could be so stupid to think this way.

Yea a Title game 7 "gimmick". Who cares what it was? The fact that it was one game in such a short period of time, during the fucking finals should tell even the stupidest person something. Then there's you...and I guess it can't reach the retarded. Tell me? Who did that team go to during that game? Who do they thank for coming through when needed most?Diogenes wrote:You seem to think that going from point forward to center was some kind of stellar accomplishment instead of a one game gimmick born out of nessecity. So, what did Worthy do without Magic? Oh yea, they blew an 2-0 lead in a 5 game series against Phoenix with games 3 and 4 at home.

Dio is easily one of the dumbest fucks to ever grace this board. Shit takes, horrible posts, and the retarded ass bold is the only thing this gushing mangina will be remembered for.
Nevermind that the lakers almost punked your trick asses yesterday in your own backyard.........you barely squeak out with a lucky win and all the sudden your dicksmokers are running at warp speed-even going as far as to talk shit on one of the greatest players ever.....Magic.
Hey, its not our fault you've been our fucking doormat on the way to multiple championships, bitch.
Arizona fan is beyond hilarious-NONE of your teams will ever win a fucking thing-EVER. Congrats on being the continuing laughingstock.......trust me, the rest of us are enjoying it tremedously.
Lakers in 6-Bank on it.

The Kobe-Shaq teams were 3-2 against the Duncan/Robinson Spurs teams in head-to-head series. The Cubs? Bad analogy, tard.
In the 30-year history of the Spurs, there have been a grand total of FOUR losing seasons. And over the last 9 years, they've had the highest winning percentage of any professional franchise in any sport, including the Patriots and the Yankess.

I'll chill out on RF since I dig the cat and he's one of my favorite reads......but make no mistake bro, calling the laker/spur battles anything but even since the start of the '99 season on is laughable.
We've both had our turns at getting over on each other in a big way.
The spurs in '99 whooping the fuck out of us brutally. The lakers literally ripping the spurs to fucking shreds in 2001 with a sweep in which there wasnt a game that was even close in score-and Kobe just cutting your hearts out every damn game. 2002 when pop called your guys 'scared of the lakers' before they went down 4 games to 1 to us.
2003 your guys barely got by us when horry rimmed out the big shot for the first time in his career-followed by the lakers incredibly lucky shot by derek fisher in '04 that basically sealed the deal for you guys.
If you want to really get technical RF, you could easily say that we still hold BODE over you guys in that playoff respect.
Regular season is no contest-The lakers always pack it in against the fucking spurs for some reason.

Btw, which number is Fisher wearing now?
RJ,
RACK you bro, for remembering a lot of those details. Few in here do.
And I'm just giving Pisc and TAJT some friendly shit. The Spurs-Lakers rivalry was turning into one of the premeir battles in all of sports, imo, approaching the level of the Lakers-Celtic battles in the 80s, given that whichever team won their series went on to win the championship for what, 5, 6 years straight?
That is, until the Shaq trade. A reporter asked Popovich about it at the time, and he even said something to the effect that he wasn't happy about it, since SA and LA had such a great rivalry going. Maybe he was simply being PC, but perhaps he also was speaking from a certain truth that you need great rivalries in the NBA like the days of old.
Currently, it would seem the rivalry is developing between the Spurs and Pistons ... although, there are a LOT of playoff games to be played and neither team could make it to the Finals this year if a key player is injured.
Which is why I still maintain that had Derek Anderson not been hurt in 2001 -- I believe it was -- it would have been a 7-game series and perhaps with SA winning since they had home-court advantage.
Btw, I used to root for the Lake Show when they would play the Celtics back in the '80s. Loved "Showtime," vs. "The Crips" as my brother and I used to call the Celtics, because they were so freaking old and lucky. ('sup Bird steals the ball against Detroit), not to mention ugly. I remember Arsenio Hall when he used to do standup, before he had his talk show. He used to do a routine about the NBA and his joke was something along the lines of ... "The Celtics are the ugliest fuckin' team in basketball. You got Larry Bird, who looks like his name with that beak and shit. And you got Dennis Johnson -- the only black man in history with freckles! And Kevin McHale is still waiting for somebody to take them bolts out of his neck. If it wasn't for Danny Ainge, they wouldn't get no pussy."
All that being said, however, I still think Kobe is a fucking punk for not giving credit where credit is due. He's a phenomenal player, don't get me wrong, but I'd seriously consider disowning my team -- the team I bleed for in Silver and Black, like you -- if he were ever traded to SA.
Oh, and Shaq is a POS, too. His comments about "respecting David Robinson as a person, but not respecting him as a player" were and are fucking punk. Especially coming from someone who can barely speak proper English. Are you kidding me? Robinson has a fucking degree in PHYSICS from the U.S. Naval Academy. Shaq is lucky to pass a fucking driver's test.
And Phil Jackson IS a bench manequin. Aside from his assinine asterisk comment in '99 (the year the Spurs swept LA, btw), dude has never won shit without at least two of the NBA's best players. He gets way too much credit, where Tex Winter doesn't get nearly enough.
TAJT, thanks bro. Like I said, it was turning into a great rivalry, before the trade. Pisc is right though, the Lake Show always seems to be in the hunt, and makes a serious run at least every 10 years or 15 years. But then again, so have the Spurs.

I love watching Tim Duncan play and he will be missed league wide when the day finally comes that he retires. I may throw it down on them as rivals but amidst all the hype with The Kings, it was The Spurs that went toe to toe through each year.
