Can't get anything past you...
By the way, Cic...I'm going to finally meet the infamous niece of my mom's boyfriend tonight at a get-together to celebrate her earning her CPA. I'm not expecting much other than just saying hello...I'm not planning on being there for very long. Figured you'd appreciate knowing that...

Keep us posted.
Still a FlameFan
Very uneventful meeting...I highly doubt there's anything there. She seems nice but I'm better off looking around than settling for someone set up on a tee that isn't necessarily the one I'm looking for. I'm a good guy, I've got a great job, I've got a great house, I've got my crap together...I'm in no mood to settle for just what's in front of me. I've got plenty going for me...there's nothing wrong with enjoying single life a little while. All my co-workers and close friends are married but I think I'm just as happy with my life as they are with theirs.
Enough blubbering, I've got to get your SNC picks posted. Those will be up shortly...

Rack Kolzig for getting The King Clancy Memorial Trophy
“It’s always great getting recognized for what you do on the ice,” said Kolzig. “But ultimately you are remembered as a person as much as a player. That makes an honor like this that much more valued to me.”
"It’s wonderful to see Olie recognized on an international level for his leadership, both on and off the ice,” said Capitals majority owner Diamond Ted Leonsis. “He has had a special impact on our organization ever since he joined it in 1989. We are blessed to have such a special person in our locker room, and personally I am thrilled that his positive influence extends beyond the rink.”

I was laughing at the part of Kolzig's speech where he said "As much as it pains me, I want to congratulate the Carolina Hurricanes on winning the Stanley Cup."
I hate the Crapitals, but I've always liked Kolzig. Class guy all the way, great sense of humor. Really liked Ovencookin's speech--his English has improved by miles since the Draft (when the only words he knew were "Hello" and "Goodbye"), and his interview with the guys from the Ceeb gave me a chuckle.
Dudeman needs a better haircut, though. That bowlcut abortion he's got now makes him look like he's a cancer patient wearing a really bad wig.

6 out of 8...Ruff was definitely a worthy winner of the Adams. Jagr probably had the better overall season than Thornton to get the Pearson but what Thornton brought to the Sharks and to Cheechoo made him the MVP.
