Shouldn't this dingleberry drink his water either before or after throwing the goddamn ball??
This may come as a shock to you, but, some people can do two things at once..you know, like walk and chew gum. Why, just the other day, I saw a person...gasp..take a sip of coffee while talking on the phone.

Don't transpose your shortcomings to everyone else.
Are you a fucking retard?

No, really.

Your the one analyzing a player based on taking a drink of water as he throws a football. For all you know, he could've been throwing the ball to the water boy..

Over in the college forum, near every time you bring takes that you think have 'substance' you end up spittin' out teeth.
S'pose deciding to parrot the same idiocy in this NFL Forum over and over saves you time.
The end result is the same.
Your ass is kicked.

Look, 'tardlette, everyone saw how you were sobbing for the Sucs to 'wise up' and shitcan Wonderboy when his team was going through it's struggles.

Your credibility is shot to hell.
You're a laughingstock, and will continue to be so until you cut your losses and come correct on that point.

Your insistance on barfing out shit about the Chucky trade is about the funniest damn thing I have ever witnessed on this board.

college board?

You stupid fuck.

I am the only FLORIDA in these parts and have been the calling the Big 12 overrated since SCIII. I called the NU embarrassment and the OU embarrassment. You have it all wrong but that's okay.

One post about your coach signing old players(which we have ten mill in dead money this year) hardly translates into laughingstock. Gruden listened and changed his signing practices.

Hey we just made the playoffs. You made th cellar. We crushed teh shit out of you in the SUper Bowl, BODE. We are back. You are in the cellar. Bode.

You just plain suck as a franshise. Bode.

Trixxxie: Mr Gruden, Sir, I know you won the Super Bowl and all, and yeah, that was pretty good, but I really think you ought to change your signing practices before you get fired.

Rivers, 27, is a solid in-line blocker who will provide a different dimension to the Oakland tight end corps.

Quietly, under the radar, this is a NICE signing, bro's.

This guy is a GOOD blocker out of the TE position.
Something that's been sorely lacking the past couple of seasons.
I like this.

LaMont should go for 1800 - 2000 yds on the ground and 16-0 is looking more and more likely for this year's Silver and Black. 8)

Suck on it.

I also like the Robert Thomas signing. We lacked depth at LB the past 2 years and I'm pleased they are addressing it.

Barry Sims has settled in at left guard now that third-year player Robert Gallery has supplanted Sims at left offensive tackle. In turn, Langston Walker has moved from left guard to right tackle as part of new coach Art Shell's makeover of an offensive line that struggled for most of last season. Sims is versatile enough, quick enough and smart enough to make a seamless switch. He has played guard in the NFL before but only in a handful of games. His biggest adjustments figure to be playing with blockers on either side of him and being asked to handle bigger rushers in defensive tackles. Still, this is a move that figures to make Oakland's line stronger. Walker's return to the lineup after missing most of last season while recovering from surgery to stop abdominal bleeding also is expected to bolster Oakland's offensive line. He is back at his natural position after spending a year inside so that Gallery and Sims could play tackle. Walker is an immense player who appears ideally suited to playing right tackle, where he isn't apt to see as many speed guys. . . .

Shell let it be known to K Sebastian Janikowski that anything less than a bounce-back season is unacceptable. In fact, Shell said he told Janikowski that he expects to see Janikowski in the Pro Bowl as the AFC's kicker. To that end, Shell has instituted a rule where his players have to run whenever Janikowski misses a field goal in practice. Janikowski finished with the worst percentage for field goals made among kickers with at least 10 attempts. There isn't any simple explanation for Janikowski missing one-third of his 30 attempts last season. The Raiders are hopeful that it was just an off year for a player who they expect to be on every year.

SCOUTING REPORT: Tyler Brayton looked like a player without a position the past two seasons. However, he now is back at defensive end and playing out of a three-point stance. That is just the way he likes it. Yet, he tried to play linebacker and some variations of that position and defensive end the past two seasons as part of defensive coordinator Rob Ryan's seeing where his players fit best in his scheme. That now appears to be defensive end, Brayton's natural position and one he performed at well his rookie season. Brayton has a shot at unseating incumbent veteran Bobby Hamilton if he develops into the player the Raiders envisioned when they drafted Brayton in the first round. He has the size, speed and strength to success. Now he has the experience and is being put in a position to succeed. Perhaps his lone downside is his lack of a go-to move on pass-rushing downs, though he is working on that with line coach Keith Millard.

POSITION BATTLE: Outside linebacker proved a huge trouble spot for the Raiders last season. The emergence of rookie Kirk Morrison solved part of the problem that stemmed from the Raiders trying converted DEs Tyler Brayton and Grant Irons at outside linebacker. Now, the Raiders are seeking a complement to Morrison among a trio that features veteran Sam Williams and rookies Darnell Bing and Thomas Howard. Williams gets the edge based on his experience, but not by much because he has been hurt each of his three NFL seasons. He is tall, fast and versatile, someone talented enough to succeed in playing the role of spy on Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick in one game. He is most vulnerable against the pass and in open space. Even so, he holds the title as the leading candidate. Howard is an extremely fast player who needs work on his consistency. He tends to make an eye-opening play on one play and then get out of position on the next. Still, as a second-round draft pick, he is going to get a long look. Bing has the speed, demeanor and hitting prowess to play linebacker. Now it's a matter of doing it. He played safety in college and needs to put on 10 pounds or so without losing much, if any, speed. If two or more of the aforementioned three candidates shine in training camp, the Raiders would have the added luxury of using two of them as starters, along with Morrison, and replacing veteran Danny Clark.

RACK Arthur Shell.

RACK common freaking sense.

FUCK Norv for dicking us around for 2 yrs.

FUCK Al for hiring him in the first place.

Oakland has improved itself by a couple/few games this offseason by virtue of common sense alone.

This ship is headed in the right direction once again.

I gotta admit that when Art Shell was rehired I was less than thrilled.

To me it seemed like a desperate reach for a desperate team.

But I also gotta admit that since taking over Shell has done nothing but impress me.

From telling that selfish prick Jerry Porter to go fuck himself in their initial meeting....

http://www.contracostatimes.com/mld/cct ... 516681.htm

I fucking hate fucking Jerry Porter. Dude shows up for 3 or 4 games a year than takes the rest of the season off. To top it off he seems to think he is the 2nd coming of Jerry Rice or some shit.

Just the fact that he is gonna stop jacking with everyones natural postion is also a major move in the right direction. What in the name of Christ made anyone outside of the Raider organization ever envision Brayton as a LB anyway?

I personally have my doubts that Brayton will ever be an impact player at DE but I sure as fuck know that he had no business running one on one down the field with WR's.

Barry Sims was a servicable left tackle for us for several years but he clearly is on the decline, time to let Gallery sink or swim at his natural position.

Langston Walker has never really impressed me either since I think he a fat lazy slug just collecting a paycheck and making bitches self conscious since his titties are bigger than most of theirs but he had no business moving inside either.

Our line was a fucking disgrace last season and at least you know Shell will right that part of our team.

As far as our draft goes we finally adressed some glaring needs. My personal preference would have been Leinart over Huff but there simply is no denying that we have had a black hole at S since Woodson left. My only bitch about it is that they seem to be more interested in replacing Gibson rather than Schweigert. Stu Schweigert must die immediately...One of the softest poor excuses for a starting safety I have ever seen in my time as a Raiders fan. Don't get me wrong Gibson is a liablity but I actually thought he improved last season especially at covering the TE, a must for our division.

Besides, everything I have read and heard points to the fact that the Raiders absolutely love Walter and see him as the starter. After passing on Leinart Davis had better be right. He does fit the system better but my feeling is that when a potential franchise QB falls into your laps you simply have to take him. Still I do like Walters potential long term and think he was agreat 3rd round gamble last season.

In the 2nd and 3rd getting Thomas Howard at LB and Paul McQuistin at RT or RG was also a big plus. Howard may not be ready to play full time this season but he finally addresses another glaring need that we have been ignoring for several years - OLB.

I love Mcquistin - check this dude out.

Image

Talk about a face only a mother could love. At least we never have to worry about him going Hollywood on us.

A spot player this season but I think he eventually will start for us.

Darnell Bing may have been a 4th round steal. I'm not sure about the attempts to try him at LB though, time will tell and at least he gives us depth and another good special teamer this year.

Bless you Art Shell for finally signing a blocking TE, now how about a blocking FB?

My feeling on Robert Thomas is that if he was gonna be a player he would have done it by now, still I'll take depth any day.

Kirk Morrison needs to move inside but then where do you play Clark?

Either way Morrison will be a tackling machine for us for many years.

I'd still like some more depth on the O line and D line but you can only do so much in one offseason. Ironically enough I'm happy the Raiders stayed away from the market this season. Most of these signings I read about were major overpayments and we have done too much of that kind of shit recently in Oakland.

Let's back away from the overpriced high profile free agents for a while and develop a team again.

I wouldn't mid prying Michael Bennett away from NO for the right price now that they have much much depth at RB, depth behind Jordan is still a concern and the speed of Bennett would compliment Jordan nicely. The only thing Fargas has proven is that he is a fucking pussy.

As far as taking the AFW West title this season? Let's not get carried away folks but I will say that for the first time in several years I am encourage at the teams direction. If we can rattle Rivers in his first start in Oakland and start out 1-0 we could make some noise but like it or not the Mules look strong.

If Brooks falters I would not hate to replace him with Walter. At least Brooks has mobility which makes him an upgrade over KFC (Kerry Fucking Collins) but he also is capable of making some of the worst decisions I have ever seen.

Ok I really didn't mean to turn this into a novel but I'm getting pumped for the season.

Enough for now.

I liked this, and it seems that they have done just that this off-season.

I have heard rumors of a Donnie Edwards signing though.
Hmmmm........
Depending on the price, that might not suck too much.

Stay tuned.

Nice breakdown, TLRH.

I couldnt agree more about Porter as well-I was one of the few who didnt want that fuck resigned because he came off as a cancer to me. Also seeing him get a case of stone hands and showing up once every 3-4 games pissed me off to no end-the only plus about him is that he is an absolute beast against press coverage.

I disagree about S.S. in our safety spot though-he basically had to watch over D Gibbs fuckups for being out of place more times than I can count-just watch the game tape.

having Huff on the other side will make people all of the sudden take 'notice' of Stu's skeelz-bank on it. He's going to have a good year and put his ball hawking on display for everyone. This is a sink or swim year for him IMHO.

Im fired up about walter-but my key player this season is far and away Brooks-I think he's going to have a monster fucking year behind our improved o-line and badass WR's to throw to-not to mention having a punisher like Jordan in the backfield.

The only wildcard to me lies within the D-line and our LB corps. If Sands, Kelly, and co can merely remain consistent in plugging up the running lanes inside, we will stop teams cold with burgess and johnstone (not to mention brayton) on the ends.

We need our LB's tostep up big this season-no other hole in our team was bigger than this position last year. Time will tell what will happen, and I honestly dont know what to expect since williams is always hurt, and a rookie is expected to start in his spot if something happens to him again.

Either which way, this season should be interesting.

I couldn't agree less regarding Stuie. I mean where the fuck are the ballhawk skills he displayed in college. I heard he broke Rod Woodsons INT record at Purdue but he has shown no type of instincts whatsoever at this level.

What he has shown me is that he plays like a fucking pussy diving at everyones knees like he is looking for a fucking mouthful of cock as he misses tackle after tackle and singlehandidly turns moderate gains into huge plays for the opposition.

Not only does he deserve to be cut IMO, he deserves a beatdown from Raidernation in general for sucking so fucking badly and making me watch.

I love the Johnstone signing as well. This team hasn't been able to get off the field on 3rd down for a few years now. A situational pass rusher on the other side of Burgess may be just what the Dr. ordered.

I still wish we hadn't cut Washington. Sands looks like a spot player to me and has struggled with conditioning in the past. Kelly is underrated at DT/DE, Sapp is coming off surgery and is yet another year older, I'm hoping last years pickup Antajj Hawthorne is ready to see action after spending time in NFL Europe. That dude was rated as one of the top D tackles in last years draft before failing a drug test and we may have stolen him in the 6th round.

The D line is still a concern yes.

As far as linebackers go, honestly when have we ever made that position a priority? I doubt Howard will be ready to play this season and Williams gets hurt when the wind blows. Still at least we addressed some needs with the draft and free agent signings and have bodies to put at the position. Apparently our duo of outside 280 plus linebackers in Brayton and Irons wern't getting the job done.

Brooks is Brooks. Like I said above he makes some real questionable decisions at times and I'm not real comfortable with him being our guy. But the point that he will have some kickass weapons is a valid one. Hopefully he can avoid the huge mistakes that have fucked over his career so far. Just by being able to move around in the pocket makes him an upgrade though.

Agreed though, he is the key to this upcoming season.

Enough, I' m way to hung over for this shit.

Gonna go thrown down about 5 asprin.

I think Oakland envisioned another Vann McElroy (similar build) when they drafted Stu.

He has definitely NOT played like V. McElroy, who was a borderline GREAT player for a few years.

Stu's got to tackle better, and he's just got to play better overall.

In his defense, he hasn't had a lot of help in the Raider D-backfield the last couple of years.

Like a lot of guys, he's got plenty to prove this season.
