An Historic Time for Conservatives

Post by Uncle Fester »

They've just discovered that for all their yapping about ideologies, principles, ideals, etc., their president and leaders in Washington are selling this country down the fukking river in the name of "immigration reform."

That's gotta hurt.

My sincerest condolences (no joke).

Truly hilarious stuff Fester. Of course anyone with a bit of foresight saw this one comming from a mile away. To paraphrase what my middle school gym teacher used to say, the rich just keep getting richer.

of course we would all be better off if
the rich got poorer---
I think that happened back in the 1930's
and it was called the Great Depression !!

I hardly think the most conservatives would consider President Bush conservative.

While I did vote for him, he has really stepped in shit big time. Immigration reform ??? Fuck no....

All a true conservative can hope for is that the whole fucking economy does not collapse in the next 5 years.

It is time to leave Iraq, and concentrate on the home issues and deal with homeland security on a smaller scale.
To paraphrase what my middle school gym teacher

How fresh.... a quote from a pussy eating bull dyke butch is remembered years later.

OK, the rich didn't exactly "get poorer,
although that kinda appears to be what I wrote. I guess my point was that with the end of the 12 year Bush regime, the move away from Trickle Down sent the US economy through the roof.

Rich people are already rich. Oddly enough, that's why they call them "rich."

Greed is, was, and always will be a stronger emotion than generosity, fairness, or concern for the welfare of others. That's just the way humans work (but you knew that).

So, we don't really need a system where greed by the wealthy is mandated by law...the greed of the rich is self-fuelling, and needs no legislative help.

And this is why I shake my head in pity of the American People these days -- Uhm....which part of "12 years of trickle down almost bankrupt the country" did you stupid fucks not quite understand? Yet, you signed on for not 4, but 8 more years. Throw all of the other issues out -- this alone makes a non-wealthy Bush supporter a complete fucking idiot...by definition.

Have you stupid fucks never heard of a guy named Robin Hood? Do you not know what happenes when the Little Guy gets fucked by the Man hard enough and long enough?

What sent the economy "through the roof" and shortly crashing back down to reality was the biggest communications boom in history...which Clinton had nothing to do with other than claim credit. The economy was well into a nosedive before he left office. And no, shit for brains, the rich didn't get poorer. In fact, they got richer.

Brilliant.

You might want to take a check at who is putting up the most dollars and resources for charitable causes. Yup, those darned greedy rich folk. They also happen to give people jobs, health insurance, retirement, etc.
So, we don't really need a system where greed by the wealthy is mandated by law...the greed of the rich is self-fuelling, and needs no legislative help.
...and exactly what "legislative help" would you be referring to?
And this is why I shake my head in pity of the American People these days -- Uhm....which part of "12 years of trickle down almost bankrupt the country" did you stupid fucks not quite understand? Yet, you signed on for not 4, but 8 more years. Throw all of the other issues out -- this alone makes a non-wealthy Bush supporter a complete fucking idiot...by definition.
Why? Because small businesses aren't getting taxed into the ground? Because big business isn't getting so many regulations and taxes put on them they take their operations elsewhere? Because middle class people are not expected to pay for losers?

Have you stupid fucks never heard of a guy named Robin Hood? Do you not know what happenes when the Little Guy gets fucked by the Man hard enough and long enough?

Actually, I was talking about immigration, about Bush and the Republican's new plan to help pack even more people, poverty, and squalor into every unfilled American nook and cranny.

The Democrats sold out years ago, basking in arms-length benevolence and self-serving, self-righteous do-gooderism. They see immigrants as puppies that you pat on the head, give them a treat, and send them on their merry way -- as long as they move into somebody else's neighborhood, anyway.

But the Republicans..., on the other hand, -these are the supposedly "principled" bad-asses who espouse national defense, secure borders, law and order, self-reliance, bla bla bla.

Limbaugh preaches to the average joes every day, telling them they are not stupid, that they are not being had by Bush and the wealthy, that their party has a platform and philosophy that is somehow meaningful and tied in with some kind of American ideal.

So Bush and Rove throw the yokels a bone with a new fence or two and a platoon of bored National Guard teenagers patrolling a dirt patch just outside of Bumfukk Texas and that's supposed to about cover it.

And what we walk away with is a two-party system that really represents nobody, that panders to nothing but cheap sentiment and a quick buck.

Just trying to get it all clear in me head...

I remember the left saying that if I voted
for Goldwater, we'd be up to our necks in
a war in VietNam-I voted for him and it
happened !!

btw---- if you do a little research- you'll find that
Goldwater wanted to reform Social Security so that
it would do for retired people what it was allegedly
intended to do--- and not be a welfare boondoggle
--of course the lefty ads screamed that he wanted to
take money away from retirees (sound familiar ?)
--too bad for you younger folks
that it never happened--and good luck when you
retire !!

So I guess the moral of the story is that Goldwater would have gone straight to the worst possible strategies and handed over control of South Vietnam by 1970 instead of 1975.

In retrospect, that would have been a better outcome.

Ah, Rolling Thunder. I think it was still going on when we went to Yokota AFB, Japan in '68. Tet offensive time. Old man Luth was SAC, and all I can remember about that is he kept complaining about shitty fucking targets selected by the government. "We are going to lose this thing and more of our kids are gonna die," was what I remember.

My dad was great SAC material for the Air Force. He was a workaholic, and getting challenged all the time just made his day. I remember when Rock Hudson was sashaying around the base, doing his movie, "A Gathering of Eagles." Old Luth was in the underground SAC command post at the time. He'd come home and my mom would gush, "Did you see Rock, did you see him?"

Old Luth: Yeah I saw him.

Mrs. Luth: Oh my word, really? Isn't he gorgeous?

Old Luth: Are you kidding me, I'd bet he wears comfortable shoes.

Mrs. Luth: Oh, Luth...noooooo.

Old Luth: Listen Norma, I know people. This may sound a little weird, but I know people. Rock Hudson is a queer (popular term in the '60s).

Mrs. Luth: Oh hush, shhhhhh Little Luth might hear us.

Old Luth: Bwahahaha. I told Little Luth that Rock wore knee pads to work every day.

Mrs. Luth: YOU DIDN'T, DID YOU? Oh my gawd.

Old Luth: heh heh

Rack my old man. I remember when he retired and the SAC guys had him in for debriefings. A week long debriefing. One whole week. I'm not sure what he did or didn't do, but I remember he'd leave in his flight suit and not come back for a few days or so. "Where'd you go dad?" I'd ask when he came back. "Oh, we just flew around, ya know," would be his answer. Same answer every time.

I still remember at school when I told my buddies that Rock liked the boys. Back then, everything was in the closet. Taking it in the ass wasn't as the "in vogue" thing to do as today.

We've got some "in vogue" lurkers around these here parts too. I could name 'em, but I'd hurt their feelings.

Actually Linebacker I and II worked just fine. It was the Quisling Dems in charge of Congress who turned the South back over to Hanoi after they got their pet Republican in the White House.

I guess it was either that or explain their 'unwinnable war' bullshit to the voters.
