Bad spot in the new sod
had a sod lawn put in end of last summer when the house was finished.
I got a little spot (actually about 4' by 3') that looks all dried up and dead :?
I've been hammering it with water but its not getting better
did I get some shitty sod?
wtf

I was gonna ask the messican dudes who do the retired ed asner look alike across the streets's lawn. but I don't think they would under stand my spanenglo.
This is really pissing me off. my yard is perfect aside from that and I'm gripping. Its like a big drew brees birthmark on the face of my Jessica Alba lawn.
I have not encountered a lawn problem that I cant fix with a shitload of water and weed and feed.
pizmeofft

You could just call the folks that laid the sod, explain the situation, and ask them if you could swing by and pick up a 4' x 3' piece to patch it with. Or you could buy one of those fake wishing-well planter thingies and set it on that spot. Or you could just whine about it on internet message boards.

Try moving somewhere that plants actually grow.timmay wrote: did I get some shitty sod?

That would be a fine fucking start.
"I live in the desert, and I can't get grass to grow...what's the deal?"
The "deal" is, that the lack of moisture æffects the brain...obviously.

don't make me get melty. as usual I give you fooks too much credit. I thought dins would bypass the desert crack and come with knowlegde of some common sod fungus strain that he had encyclopedic knowledge of.
goobs was right on with the relacement sod deal. thats what I planned on, but was hoping that flooding the shit out of it would work.
good wthing I did whine about it or we'd have missed the danzig video reset

I also bypassed "a new piece of sod costs about $5, and takes less time to replace that it did to type that post."timmay wrote:I thought dins would bypass the desert crack and come with knowlegde of some common sod fungus strain that he had encyclopedic knowledge of.
Sorry to disappoint.

Should have cut your losses, and planted sagebrush. I hear scrubgrass greens up nicely...for about two weeks out of the year.
Should have stayed with a more "native" landscape design, and let the scrubgrass grow really tall, then put a match to it in the spring. Get a couple of charred ponderosa stumps, and you've got a beautiful Eastern Oregon (save your "Central Oregon" crap...there's no such place) native landscape.
If you don't like the fires
Then move from that town
Cause God's gonna burn it down
God's gonna burn it down

Then how did you determine it's not green in the first place?timmay wrote:what if the grass isn't the same green. it could be bluer or yellower
I would not be able to tell because I have the color blinds
Did you consider the possibility that your neighbors in Bend, California are just playing an elaborate joke on you?
